It's not illegal to do, and to be honest about it, if it is deemed a political attack, then it should be paid for. There's no sense ruining the financials of a POTUS over politics. That's just going to lead to us getting more crappy options cause smart people wouldn't likely want to risk it. 

But it's hypocrisy at it's finest. I recall i posted a while ago that when it comes to Politicians, he who screams the loudest about someone else's behaviors is probably doing the same thing.
