Biden's Running Mate?
#1
Now that Biden has earned enough delegates to get the Dem's nod I'm curious what folks think he will need and/or select a running mate.

Should he go Left or Right?

Black or White?

Male or Female?

Do we think gender and race even matters?

Inexperienced or experienced?

Who do you want and who do you think he'll take?

I think going female, black. left, young is what man yon the Left want, but I think it would hurt him.

Val Demings. Checks pretty much all the boxes except "has a chance in 2024".

I think her being from FLA is a bonus.

I've heard speculation that he will need a woman of color to appease folks. Honestly, no idea, though. I didn't see Tim Kaine coming in 2016, either, so who knows.

I haven't heard Michelle say she wouldn't take it.

Personally, I'd like to see Dwayne "the Rock" or Samuel L. Jackson. Samuel would be the best VP ever: "Oh! Did I break your concentration?".... "Hey! Check out the brain on Trump!!"

Or Bill Ayers since Obama forgot to give him that high ranking position we were assured he would if elected.

There for awhile, prior to the current cardboard cut-out Pence they now tote around, the GOP was really into "distraction VP's": people so overwhelmingly ignorant that they drew all media attention away from the President. Folks like Dan Quayle and Sarah Palin. Now, they have opted for the "distraction POTUS".

Maybe Biden could take a page out of their book. Maybe he could make Trump his VP!!!

I don't know, I think the idea has its merits. You could sell the idea to Trump by telling him it is a "win, win" situation for the coming election (And just like groping a married woman, you know he can't pass up that opportunity). When Biden gets elected, they can just leave Trump in the Oval House like some old relative with dementia where he can tweet whatever crazy thoughts cross his mind and go golfing every weekend. Nothing changes for him! His base are happy because they still get his tweets from the Oval Office as if he were actually running things, the rest of the country can still enjoy the entertainment his antics have provided during past four years, and Biden and Congress can rebuild the county and the federal government in the background.

When he first said it would be a woman I though Kathleen Sebelius would have been the best option. An Ohio girl whose dad was governor (Jack Gilligan). She was elected Governor of a red State (Kansas). Served as Sec. of Health and Human Services which I think will be important because health care is going to be a bigger issue going forward in this country.

But now I think she has the wrong color skin.

Omg! Like a modern day The Odd Couple.

We could ppv it and use the proceeds to build a wall AND provide free college. Everybody wins.

But because he would be VP, Biden would never have to actually meet or talk to him or anything. In fact, they can use the 'Pence Strategy' and just carry around a life-size cardboard cutout of Trump to meetings and such and for photo ops. Trump can stay safely tucked away in the Oval Office or the golf course, or the bunker, etc.
