Bill O'Reilly = Toast

It's really what it boils down to.  Hell, everyone was quick to forgive Bill Clinton for his transgressions against Women...

Who were those four women Trump escorted to his debates with Hillary?

He sucks, I've already said so.  Just not a fan of the implied hyperbole that Fred so often traffics in.  The man is gross, he's a womanizer, but he is not a sex offender.

A dick is a sexual organ.

So being a huge dick is a sexual offense.

After watching this "highlight" of his show I tend to agree....

He's a straight white male and profiling works?

I don't think you know what the word profiling means. Mellow

As most sexual predators are white males you're probably right.   Ninja

All seriousness aside profiling only works when you randomly stop black and brown people to make sure they aren't up to no good.  Ninja

He's a political figure that people rely on for his opinion and has made himself very wealthy doing it.

Joe Mixon and O'Reilly aren't even in the same realm. Kind of strange that you brought him into the discussion.  If you would've set Ray Rice or Greg Hardy then your point doesn't stick.

Some of the world's most influential people were scumbags. So holding them to moral standards seems kind of silly to be honest.

What a silly post.

I'll continue to evaluate influential figures by their merits (performance, ideas, etc) instead of allegations of sexual harassment or extramarital affairs.

Certainly.  Wouldn't want morals being applied to people in positions of power or influence.

Otherwise Trump wouldn't have been eligible to run for president.

Some of our greatest presidents wouldn't be able to lead using your standards.

Kennedy, FDR, Eisenhower, Clinton, Harding, Johnson; they all had extramarital affairs.

Consider all the other leaders, military geniuses, athletes and performers who were incredibly gifted and inspired millions worldwide. Many of them had skeletons inn their closet too.

So this idea that being morally correct has anything to do with the impact you have on the world is wrong.

So I can't hold them to a high moral standard just because they were "good" at what they do?

Interesting.

See *I* would say no one is perfect but there has to be a point where their actions have consequences.  BOR is the latest example.  Multiple women, multiple payoffs, etc.

Bill Clinton *should* have stepped down for lying to the American people.

Richard Nixon *did* step down.

Get the idea yet?

Although it sounds like you are firmly entrenched in the "family values" party.

You can hold them to whatever standard you want. But if you think that your standard is an actual metric of overall performance in their roles, you're being silly. You're probably an old man. You'd think that all those rockers you listened to before I was even born would've shown you that.

Richard Nixon did some corrupt shit that directly impacted his ability to lead. It's not comparable to what's been discussed in this thread.

You think I'm "entrenched" with social conservatives? That's a first.

Most people have told me that I'm an edgelord piece of shit when it comes to all religion, including the religous right.

If those payoffs were supposed "hush" money, then Bill O'Reilly is due some pretty hefty refunds.  Will be interesting to see if he files civil suit on any of them.
