Bond slashed to 175 million while Trump appeals
#21
Trump stock rises 21% after judge slashes bail.

https://www.foxbusiness.com/politics/trumps-stock-rallies-ahead-listing-appeals-court-win-civil-fraud-bond

Shares in Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC) surged upwards of 21% during Monday's trading session in the wake of the appeals court rules. DWAC is the special purpose acquisition company that plans to list Trump Media & Technology Group on the stock market through a merger that values Trump's stake in Truth Social at about $3.3 billion.

The board of Truth Social could also vote to release Trump's shares immediately.

It does not appear that will be needed now.

NYC is going to get itself into some financial trouble.
Trump isn't the only one that invests there and those others should be cautious now.

Then there's the Immigrant saga that's eating up Billions of $ on top of that.

Then there's the Immigrant saga that's eating up Billions of $ on top of that.

NYC and sanctuary cities proclaimed they welcomed all illegal immigrants with open arms, would shelter them, feed them, provide health care and not work with ICE when they committed crimes.

Fast forward and now the mayor and governor are begging them not to come.

My wife and I were planning a trip to NYC this summer, cancelled it due to being unsafe due to the illegal immigrants. We also decided to not give NYC a penny.

NYC will attempt to tax their way out of it, problem is that method had already led to many companies leaving and many leaving for places more affordable to live, retire or raise a family.

NYC looks like it is run by the mob with prosecutors like Jame and Bragg, with judges on the take like Engoran in power. We see with our own eyes this is Biden led persecution team in NY, D.C.. Florida and Georgia to win an election.

I haven't read all of this, but I'm going to assume the assertion is that Trump getting a legal win makes him stronger, much like him suffering a legal loss makes him stronger.

The far-left liberal Bernie Sanders speaks. At least Bernie knows he is a communist.

Many financial experts say it will hurt NYC and NY if this is not overturned. Billionaires like Kevin Oleary are on record they are done investing in NY or NYC if this ruling stands.

But he definitely committed fraud.  I have no idea if the SCOTUS would or any other court will substantially revise the penalty, much less erase it.  NY law allows for the fine/penalty in this matter, so you need a basis for finding that law unconstitutional.  That this law hasn't been used in this manner to get anyone else in a similar case I don't think matters - "they didn't charge the other guy" isn't really a defense, at least not if you aren't a protected class (which political affiliation is not).

I think if the judge felt there was reasonable chance of Trump getting the ruling vacated or reversed, then he would have waived any bond requirement.

Bernie is a socialist not a commuinist.

Maybe understanding what various political systems stand for should be required before throwing out labels

They've both been so bastardized that there is no point in trying to get into an argument over semantics.

Socialism paves the way for Communism, just like Authoritarian does for Totalitarian. No need to go Dill on us. Tongue.

In fact, what I'd really like to know is how Trump will turn our democratic Republic into a Totalitarian state. If you have the inside scoop on that, please share.

Why do you feel being called a Democrat is a personal attack? Come out of your political closet, own it, you can do it in 2024.

I've told you I've voted D since 2022.  You seem to act like I always was ultra liberal because it hurts your narrative that people like me suddenly love Trump because he's getting indicted a zillion times.

If you were active in here during the 2020 election you'll remember I took some lumps for being so anti-Trump but also voting for Jo Jorgensen.  Consider it a lesson learned.

I'm quite angry at both of you for serving up such a softball that I cannot hit out of the park without getting in trouble.  That said, amazing market acumen, I had no idea we had two veteran traders in our midst.

It is so easy to make billions of dollars from a start up company over a few years I am sure those attacking Trump can do it too.

Well I do have a plan:

I'm just waiting for my dad to give me millions and then bailout the casino I built because I lost money running a CASINO.

Right after that I'll be on my way.

Of course I won't actually do any of the work...I'll just slap my name on it somewhere. Perfect plan.  Can't fail.

That just isn't true at all and it's not about semantics. Bernie is a social democrat, like many European leaders past and present are. One can dismiss Europe for many things, but calling us communist countries would be as inaccurate as it would be offensive.

Well, no one really knows, maybe it is not possible. I for one just have no doubts that he will try, one way or another. Just like last election, when he tried to pressure state secretaries into finding votes, pressure Pence to break the constitutional norms by not certifying the election, or deployed fake electors. Or of course when he argued for total immunity, which according to his lawyers would include killing political opponents. These aren't hitpieces, these things actually all happened.

it is easy when your daddy "loans" you millions and millions of dollars to start that business...then bails you out when you bankrupt that company...not once but 6 different times.  And don't forget manipulating that million daddy with Alzheimer's into leaving leaving you with more than your fair share of his estate.

Now Fred Trump made his millions....as a slum lord.  Donny started life on 3rd base with no one behind the plate guarding home.  He didn't exactly pull himself up by his bootstraps

Everytime you name one of your politicians communist, it comes with a good laugh.

Those 'communists' are european centrists.

You wouldn't like our lefties as we don't really like your right wingers.

For example, I'm a socialist and I don't have any accointance with communism.

Authoritarian regimes from the left or the right are only autoritharian regime.

BTW, USA are not real capitalism. When it comes to pay the losses, it is socialized, only the profits are privatized.

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Can we agree that in both cases of Socialism and Communism that the State controls the Wealth/Property etc and distributes it as it sees fit?

Democratic Socialists embrace Liberal tactics where as Communism has no preference when it comes to tactics.

Back to Bernie,
He wants to end Capitalism.
“we must create an economy that works for all, not just the very wealthy.”
Isn't that Socialism where everyone works for the betterment of the state and only takes what they need?

https://www.cnn.com/2019/03/14/politics/kfile-bernie-nationalization/index.html

He wants Nationalization of almost all major industries.
He tries to get the poor, working class and another other oppressed minority on his side to "rise up" and take control of Coporations/Banks, etc so he can enact his "Liberal" policy.

Same results, different tactics.
