Speaking of women...did anyone else see DeCastro jumping around like a little girl when Pacman got flagged?

Funny side note to the story. Read about the Sheriff from the area who is a steeler employee that helped him evade arrest from U.S. Marshals.

LOL, no he's not.  Harrison has 17 PF's/roughing calls against him in 12 years.  Burfict has 16 PF's/roughing calls against him in 4.  Your attempts to deflect are pathetic

Oh, well that's fine then.  After all, who wouldn't trade being a quadriplegic for a couple mill?

Chortle, you're the king of comparative trivialization.

Quote:However you without missing a beat in your own words called him the worst in the NFL.

Absolutely, without a doubt.

Quote:Blind hatred like that is sad dude, GTFO get off the boards and get some perspective, for someone who claimed to have "law enforcement" ties it's a pathetic remark. You labeled a football player that is a loose cannon on the field worse then wife beaters. You aren't backing out of those words, they are your own.

I am now absolutely convinced you have a learning disability.  Good to see you falling back on the, I'm lying about my profession, trope.  The drowning man will grab for any branch won't he?

Not agreeing with whoever it was you were qouting, but contextually the statistics aren't comparable. The reason I say that is because we both know that the protection of offensive players has skyrocketed. Harrison started his career in a friendlier environment for that style of play.

No point arguing with a blind homer that believes his team is flawless and Burfict is worse then wife beaters. Dude, you've become worse then Brad.

A logical and pertinent point.  Even so, I think we can safely say that Harrison didn't accrue 16 of his 17 PF's in the last four years.

With either narrative (homer/hater), it's not a good start. I feel there has to be some kind of specialist former player out there who can help Burfict learn to lose control in a controlled manner.

He has to grow up, and for some players that never happens. His instincts on the field are amazing, you watch the guy read a play and blow it up in the backfield, but for some reason that isn't enough. He has to follow it up with something that is just over the line, like the cup check move, what point was there to that.

I know why he's like that. He has the mentality every Defensive Coordinator wished they had (and the baggage that comes with it). He's from an older school of defensive play where you ******' hate the offense and will do everything in your power to hurt every last one of those mother *****. And that mentality made defenses great for decades. But he's in a stricter NFL now.

Man, we were taught that from like 7th grade and beyond.
I would literally yell at people on the opposing offensive team that I knew they killed my mother and I was coming to eat them. Omg.... fun times.

How to be a good defender in football: be athletically gifted or be ***** crazy. If you have both, you're a scary mofo.

I wonder what kind of horse steroids they are gonna dope Big Ben with when they wheel him out to noodle-arm some throws this weekend?

Should be entertaining. Cool

As to Decastro I guess its better to celebrate an opponent making a fool of himself and potentially costing his team the game than to flop to the ground when barely touched...

[Image: cincinnati-bengals-dive-football-floppin...aigeop.gif]

But I suppose its OK to celebrate penalties on the other team sometimes...

Man those officials hate the Bengals so much they call dumb penalties on the OTHER team just to make the Bengals look silly and childish!  Rant

You're partially correct, but Burfict has exactly what you described and a little something extra.  That something extra is a desire to actually injure his opponents any way possible.  I used this comparison after our last game; Greg Lloyd played with the intensity and passion you describe above.  He was feared and respected and he was not thought of as a player who deliberately attempted to injure his opponents.  Contrast that with Andre Waters from the exact same era who was thought of exactly as Burfict is now and for the same reasons.  While I agree the era contributes to Burfict's reputation it's not wholly, or even largely, responsible.  Burfict has the rep he deserves and he's going to have to work really hard to overcome it.  Sadly, for your team, that doesn't seem to be a likely outcome.

The Burfict fear is rampant in here and other forums. I thought the Steelers had the tough fan base, but all I see is a bunch of fellas with their panties in a bunch and a fear Burfict will paint someone in subsequent games.

Free Agency ain't over until it is over.

First 6 years BB - 41 wins and 54 losses with 1-1 playoff record with 2 teams Browns and Pats
