Charles Davis Mock Draft on NFL.com

Bengals may draft a QB, but I don't see it before the 5th round.

On second thought if the Bengals are not going to use a high draft pick or 2 on OL and not get a good in FA ?

Maybe our first 5 selections should be QB's.

Because we may need them all with "Turnstile Ced" and "Blowdine" protecting them.

Any mock draft that does not have us going Offensive Line in Round 1 is questionable.

How can the D look good with so many 3 and outs due to no blocking. I want us to go O Line in Round One and in Round Two.  We need a Left Tackle.  We need a Center or Guard. Free Agency won't be much help.  Now in Free Agency I would LOVE to see the Bengals with D Coordinator just from Detroit bring in some of his starters on Detroit D. The Safety would be a huge pick up. We need a safety since Nelson left. The Detroit safety is good and a free agent we could get. Same with Detroit starting cornerback and Detroit starting linebacker. I would like to see us get all 3 in here, or at least 2.  IF WE CAN DO THAT, it sets up going Round One and Two on Blocking.  Then improved Blocking sets up Dalton, Green, Mixon, Bernard, the whole 10 yards. We start scoring. We start winning. Back in play-offs.

Quarterback in Round One, Heck No, WE DON'T LIVE IN CLEVELAND. ( They who take QB high every year and finish last every year ).

As for hitting the reset button, NO...We have Dalton, Green, Atkins, Dunlap ...If we have blocking in 2018, we are back in play-offs and back in Super Bowl Hunt.  Keep that finger off the reset button. GET US BLOCKING IN HERE. With blocking we could start 8-0 like 2015 before Dalton injured.  Drafting other positions will send us to a 4 win season and a bad draft. There are some top notch future Pro Bowl blockers in this draft. The type of blockers you take like Munoz, Montoya, Big Willie, Whitworth, Bob Johnson, and you let them block 10 years for you and you never regret drafting THE HOGS.  You can't win without those Hogs up front.  As of now we have THE WORST blockers in NFL.  We need to change that in March and April.

We needed OL last season too and drafted a WR and a RB out of the gate.  What we want to happen and reality for this team never match.

This team isn't a Superbowl caliber team in 2018.  QB isn't a dumb move for the team's future, but maybe for Marvin's two year chance to fix the now.

And again, last year we needed OL too and we didn't take any.

I don't get why the Bengals would draft a QB when they have a good QB already who is in his prime. This would be a dumbass decision.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

I will add a disclaimer if the Bengals  can get a good trade for him (and I mean a franchise changing trade) then I would do it.

Anybody thinking Marvin has only two years has just not been paying attention.

Whoever they take at 12 won't even play this year unless a rash of injuries makes it so. Who was the last first rounder who started from day one?

This scenario has the Bengals drafting Josh Allen QB, Wyonling at 12.

"They need help at a number of spots, but the Bengals might not be able to resist hitting the reset button for the future with this strong-armed Cowboy."

This isn't the worst thing I have heard, but still doesn't help the line that is desperate to be addressed.

Another ill informed idiot who knows nothing about the Bengals, how they draft or what the Bengals think of Dalton.  What trash.

You don't fix the problems by wasting a draft pick this high on someone who won't see the field for years.  Idiocy.

In a nutshell.
Everything in this post is my fault.

If they’re good enough they will play. Injuries have kept the recent 1st round picks off the field, not Marvin.

I'm not sure about Allen. I don't mind a QB at 12 if it's the right one. I'd also be all over Lamar Jackson in the second round if he's somehow available.

Exactly !

As long as Mike's around Marvin will be here - period.

Never stopped Mike Brown before.

And, yes, he's an idiot.
