It doesn't matter what "America" wants, because we have a 2 party system where 1 party has an easier time winning than the other.  If 3 out of 10 adult Americans want a republican to become a dictator, it can happen.  That's the amazingly slanted nature of the political parties.  It's going to be easier for a republican to become a dictator than to get a libertarian or other 3rd party candidate on a debate stage.

We let one political party be the "easy mode" into power, and go figure that party has been overtaken by people who seek power for the sake of power itself.  I'm not saying the other political parties are saints, but if you are a person who wants to get into politics to serve your own interests, the path of least resistance is clear.

They made sure to rig it after Perot gained traction. Raising the polling percentages were bad enough, but allowing them to pick and choose what polls to utilize in the determination each time is the ace in the hole.

Side note: the Libertarian Party is still in disarray after the takeover by the Mises Caucas. A lot of donors cut ties, and there's been a lot of FEC violations committed by inexperienced folks. I used to advise the Mises Caucas Chair, but they changed direction from what we discussed, and I haven't spoken with him in nearly 3 years.

Haley got within 11-12 points in NH and announced she wouldn't drop out.

That set P01135809 off.  It's obvious he doesn't want to have to continue to campaign except against Biden...or Obama depending on which day he's speaking.
