The one thing Yang does that the rest do not do is that he actually answers the question asked.

So I decided to fact check the 'everybody' is working two jobs statement. Here is what I found. This came up at the debate but also at Fed Chairman Powell's testimony to Congress a couple of weeks ago. The chart only goes to 2017 but doubt much has changed as even through the lending crisis the data kept going down.

Almost every demographic went up in 2018

Starting with the repeal of OBamacare. On the FIRST DAY of Trump's second term. LOL

Then what? Already consulting with insurance companies on what is best for Americans.

I don't know how anyone could suggest with a straight face that the GOP has a health care plan that would do those things after they spent 4 years trying to get rid of Obamacare, promising a better alternative, and then spent 2 years incapable of providing said alternative after they won both houses of Congress and the White House.

The goal might not be to actually have a health care plan, other than one designed to protect the very rich from more taxes.

Rather, the goal might be to just keep people talking about the vague "Republican alternative" which will "rely on market solutions" and such like, so that at least among Trump's believing supporters/defenders, there seems a real alternative to "socialism."  Maybe the liberal media is not getting it out there? lol

the plan was to dismantle pieces of Obamacare to say that it never worked.

It's why red states refused to help their citizens by accepting the medicaid expansion. They'd rather spite Obama than admit his plan helped.

Guess we'll just disagree if you truly think Trump won't announce a healthcare plan prior to the election.

Yep.

To be fair the GOP has taken that approach with a lot of government programs.  They cut funding, cut staff, make it harder for the people working within it to do their jobs and then claim "government doesn't work".

But they never had a replacement plan. Never.  Or they would have pushed it every election cycle if they they never really planned to implement it.

Edit:  Because this showed up in my FB memories from 2012...and nothing has changed.
