Donald Trump's next book:How To Destroy The Republican Party In Only Four Years

If Donald Trump still tells them to not show up or vote for some Q-Anon supporter they will. He doesn't care if Republicans lose and his base will simply say the Republicans are part of the deep state. Have you been to Parler lately?

Trump is not going away and the party is not going to magically go back to normal. If he does start up a news channel or buy OAN/News Max then this whole thing is only going to get crazier.

Most cults start to fade once the leader is gone.  It will take time and there will be others who want the mantle of leadership (Hawley, Cruz, Jordan, etc) but they lack the 40 years of publicity to maintain that kind of following.

What we will probably see is a return to "Democrats are wasting your tax money" and a focus on that vs the conspiracy stuff so much, the deficit will matter again and "socialism" will rear it's ugly head.

But the conspiracy talk will get relegated to the OANN and Newsmaxx.  It will always have an outlet on social media and there will always be believers.

The question is if the old guard of the GOP can hold the groups together.  And with the redistricting coming they will do everything in their power to shore up their gerrymandered districts to ensure they continue to hold power even if only a minority of the electorate supports them.

And ever that will change as population shifts and makeup changes over time.

They will either have to change with the times or risk being left behind eventually.

Just my opinion.

He will be a personality, but he won't get votes. He's done a great job convincing his supporters that democrats will gleefully destroy America and anyone who has that extreme a view on one party isn't going to vote for a 3rd party.

Trump isn't going away but he won't be a political force.  If you buy his rhetoric you're too scared of democrats to back anyone but the GOP.

You don't think Ivanka is running for Governor/Senator in Florida in 2022? The family is all in on politics now and will not be going away anytime soon. There will be a Trump attempting to get on the ballot in 2024. Once you have had that kind of power, and in their case financial windfall, you don't just give it up.

I can see it happening.  The GA Senate going 0-2 for the GOP mist secretly thrill Trump. It shows they "can't win" a ticket without him on it.

Loeffler losing showed that being a mini me of Trump is no slam dunk. That's a start.

I mean Loeffler never actually won an election she was appointed before so she isn't a great litmus test. The fact plenty of people acting like Trump, see the young dude in Carolinas who is in a wheelchair and idolizes Hitler getting elected to the house, tells me it is still a gimmick that works. Winning the Senate helps us move forward with legislation versus spending two years doing nothing but talking about past crazy, that is for sure.

The system is stacked to favor conservatives spread out into smaller populated areas. And they still lost it all.

I mean there have been debates on this board for four years about if Trump and his ilk inspired violence in his followers.  There is zero room for doubt now.  They are actively encouraging people to take up arms because he lost.  That's it.

Anyone who knew anything about Bannon's playbook knew this was coming. Miller continued to implement, but those dastardly checks and balances got in the way. Now, they'll do as much damage as they can on the way out. As I stated before, they'll also attempt to keep their followers riled via news channel. I'd reckon money for that may very well come from outside of the United States, as well as the public that are in whole hog.

Congress should enact the 25th Amendment to remove him from office for the next two weeks. The damage is done. Put an end to this shit show early. They've skirted the issue for weeks but now they're openly advocating for violence if the lawful election results are not overturned. It's sedition, pure and simple.

Barring that, Congress should vote on new articles of impeachment to prevent him from holding office again.
Everything in this post is my fault.

Yet we were told no matter what Trump and his cronies did it was on the "personal responsibility" of the actor.

While true to an extent it was also completely true that Trump and Bannon and Miller and the rest would call for violence just to maintain power.

Man, I wish there had been some kind of warning or debate about how unstable Trump was before the 2016 election.  But hey, her emails!  Cool

There was a sane (albeit drunk/high) choice with Johnson and Weld. But, nobody listened to me.

D.C. does, in fact, need an enema.

Trump repaying Pences loyalty by telling the MAGA cult that pence is going to voluntarily hand a crooked election to people who seek to destroy America is just brutal. Who will be next on the chopping block?
