Their family size is their business.

Why do they get singled out?

Anyone who is concerned about families living in poverty and wants to help them get out of poverty.

What are you going to teach your daughters about having a bunch of babies they can't afford?

No one is forcing these people to do anything.  They are just giving them good advice that will help them out.  Education is a powerful tool of change.  We never made cigarettes illegal but we have dramatically reduced the number of people who smoke through education programs.

Since when is giving helpful advice a BAD thing?

Quote:Wheaton College has created a benevolence fund for students who are experiencing a financial hardship due to the expense of a replacement health insurance plan.

Keep in mind that they are not even required to provide insurance.

Keep in mind they could have just kept providing the insurance and avoided all this except their magic book tells them IUD's and condoms are wrong.

The magic book deosn't ay anything about it.  It is all from the Pope.

Plus according to their moral beliefs birth control is only a sin for the students.  It is just fine for the faculity and staff who made this decision to end insurance coverage for the students.

My what great morals these people possess.

Helpful advice on smoking. Doesn't result into a person being killed. And anti smoking efforts werent directed at the poor only.

If you were advocating Abortions to save the life of the mother then that would be similar to the smoking analogy.

The overwhelming majority of anti-smoking education was directed at kids because they were the ones it could help the most.

The same goes for advice on family planning as a tool to escape poverty.  It is going to be aimed more at the poor because they are the ones that need it the most.

Neither does advice on birth control.

supporting birth control isn't the same as supporting abortion.

Speaking about abortion like it's the same as getting a filling is my issue. I don't have a problem with explaining how birth control works and why it should be considered. I also think. This education should include teachers urging
Children to speak to their parents before making any decision .

Schools shouldn't be giving medical advice.
