Science is a great subject folks!

Technological evolution that isn't where it needs to be yet.  There's a reason gas cars outsell electric cars by a billion percent.

I don't really argue points outside of doing so to analyze why certain people believe or feel the way they do.  I'm more interested in people's perceptions than the environment or jobs in this case.  I find it interesting when people cite job loss as a key factor in something; as if the livelihood of people who dig in the dirt are really a key component when it comes to plutocrats deciding how to fuel the many toys of the consumers in this country.

Meh, the people on this country run on a health destroying corn-base source of fuel that is propped up by special-interest groups, profit-seeking, and other ridiculous reasons.  We are basically a population that is being fueled by overly processed junk that is giving us diabetes, obesity, and other health related issues on a massive scale (no pun intended).  So if the glory of our lobby-driven capitalistic society has the populace fueling itself with damaging crap what should make me believe this same system is ensuring my car is running on the best and most efficient fuel possible?

Except, it never really happens because the rich are the ones with their hands up her giant ass, paying for her multi-billion dollar campaign of crap and empty lies.

It never happened before because she has not been President before.

Trump keep promising to build a wall, but it hasn't happened yet either.

You don't have to believe anyone.  Go buy a Volt and see for yourself.  Tesla does much better as far as mileage and is predicting 600 miles a charge, but price wise are far out of reach for most people.

Congratulations.  You just came up with a logical argument that Big Mac are better for us than healthy vegetables and Justin Beiber is more talented than Miles Davis.

No I didn't.

Don't people buy more Big Macs (or fast food in general) than healthy vegetables?

I have no idea, but it doesn't matter.  I'm talking about what people consider the best alternatives.  Your idea of what makes the best alternative isn't necessarily what everyone else considers the best alternative.  Convenience and taste at an affordable price leads the list of what they value most.

Meanwhile here in the US the fossil fuel industry has finally admitted that fracking is the cause of the 900% increase in earthquakes in Oklahoma over the last few years.  Then there is the increase in disease caused by air pollution and the effects on our environment.  If we continue to tie our future to fossil fuels we are doomed.

with how much we are in debt to them, don't they technically already own our ass?

Then you are not talkingh about actual technological evolution.  You are talking about perception.  Those are two different things.

Seat belts and safety glass were clearly superior choices in automobiles, but people were not willing to pay for them.

Instead of just letting people die because of their poor choices the government stepped in and saved millions of lives and billions of dollasr.
