Looking Back: Pre-Season Rankings
#1
As a look back at how far the Bengals have come, there was a post in Jungle News by jj22 that summarized where the Bengals were ranked on September 7, before our first game on September 12.

To summarize:

NFL.Com: 30th
CBS Sports: 29th
SI: 29th
Pro Football Talk: 29th
USA Today: 28th
Washington Post: 27th
Bleacher Report: 25th
Sporting News: 16th

The link to the post has a more detailed explanation for each ranking: http://thebengalsboard.com/Thread-Week-1-Bengals-Power-Ranking-Roundup

The Vegas odds for the season were also for 6.5 wins and Cincy Jungle simulations yielded a high mark of 6.8 wins and low mark of 2.1 wins. (Post by Murdock2420)

Wow. Lol.

That is crazy when you view things that way.

What a Cinderella season.

Winning a SB would have to make this go down as THE MOST magical season in NFL history.

week 18 he was third. In the overall end-of-season ranking he was 4th.  Rosenthal moved Herbert back in front of Joe.

Maybe it was estimated draft position.  Bleacher Report really blew that one.  Wink
