Why are the Republicans in congress want to make the tax cuts for individuals permanent all of a sudden? It wouldn't have nothing to do with the upcoming mid terms would it? Trying to blow more smoke up people's butts? Scam.

Probably because they benefit the most from them, both directly (their income bracket) and indirectly (more donations from donors happy they're saving millions).
