Most Democrats Don’t Want Biden in 2024, New Poll Shows
#21
(07-12-2022, 01:24 PM)Sociopathicsteelerfan Wrote: Dems only softened on Bush because he's nicer than Trump, he's an affable and goofy dude.  His presidency was also demonstrably worse than Trump's and he's responsible for lies that caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of people.  But I also think Cheney was actually running the show for the first 4-6 years of Bush's presidency.  Not that this excuses Bush's role in the whole thing.

Kind of sad that not getting us into any new conflicts (as much as he tried to) is really the most redeeming thing about Trump.

To be fair, given our history since WW2, that's actually no mean accomplishment.

It could also be argued that Trump's admiration for dictators and his disdain for certain long-standing allies of ours makes it hard to give him a free pass in the area of avoiding conflict.

I mean, he was pretty complimentary of someone who started a war recently.

I mean, the ideas are so irrational I wonder how any one of them made it to office other than people voting party over candidate. Geez, their all still running around looking for a head on a pike. Here's your candidates:

Biden - Has always been incompetent since he went into politics.

Buttigieg - Everyone should just go buy an electric car. Dude is in over his head.

Harris - No explanation needed

Warren - This wench drinks 5hr energy's every 20 minutes. Not sure she knows where she's at half the time. Her and Bernie would have made a good husband and wife. Her dreams are bigger than the countries abilities monetarily.

Klobuchar - know nothing about the *****, other than she looks like an aardvark.

Cooper - Don't know this guy

Brown - Not sure about Sherrod either other than he's a Buckeye. Probably the best candidate if he decides to run.

Newsom - HAHAHAHAHA

Ocasio-Cortez - Twin to Chrissy Snow from Three's Company.

I like how you left off Bloomberg...who is always a danger to switch parties a la Trump.

Most people didn't want Biden in 2020. They just wanted Trump less.

That's your opinion, and I respect that.

I don't think the idea of a Biden presidency was ever exciting to anyone. he was a vanilla candidate that was hard to stick things to attack-wise. His most scandalous aspect personality wise was his crackhead moron kid.

If your choices as a nation are between 2 guys who are nearly 80, then your country is in trouble. After two presidents that were basically more rock stars than policy nerds, I think we've forgotten what to look for in a president. Both parties are looking for someone to win popularity contests and be social media darlings. Now they want the rock star AND the actual executive, and that's a tough one. Anyone with an extensive legislative background is far more open to attack, and candidates running on fame alone don't have what it takes to weather tough political times.

My mom had Alzheimer's the last six years of her life (that we know) and now my father is suffering from dementia at 80 years old.  So I have a really hard time watching Biden clearly suffering from severe cognitive decline.  I can certainly take no pleasure in it as many have, and continue to do.  That being said, it absolutely pisses me off that the Dems foisted a candidate on the country who was not mentally well and was already showing signs of dementia.  This anger was further compounded when I saw the following clip, that a work friend sent to me after seeing in on Tucker Carlson.

Biden may be a horrible person, I don't know.  His son certainly is, but I don't know that about Biden.  But this clip, and I realize it's several months old, really pissed me off.  This old man is clearly a puppet and it's goddamned sad to watch.  It really makes you wonder who is actually POTUS right now, because I don't think there's any chance it's Biden.

It's very clear Biden is just a puppet, sad.

And do you think the media would give her millions and millions of $$$ in free air time and advertisement the same way they did to Trump in 2016? YEP!

I wouldn't be too concerned.  I don't know a single Hispanic person who doesn't hold her in complete contempt.  One of my friend's mother refers to her as the bruja and never by name.  I think non-Hispanics, or those familiar with them, really underestimate how much the Latinx thing rankles them.  Plus many Hispanic families came from socialist nations and left for a reason.

No concern. I’ll thoroughly enjoy watching them step on that rake if they go that route.

There was a glaring Latinx missing from Jill Biden’s “apology” for calling them breakfast tacos. The press person picked the right time to go back to “Latino” for a moment.

I don't expect you to want her to win, but I think even fans of the GOP should at least see who their candidate is before they gleefully watch that person win the WH by default.

Keep in mind Trump and Biden are amazingly unpopular presidents who could be argued won because the other side "stepped on a rake."

Believe me, I’m not very enthusiastic about which rake the GOP will decide to toss out onto the walking path lol. Different topic, that.

Interesting to think in my 40 years there have been murmurs that 16 of them were under puppet presidents if you count Reagan's 2nd term, 2 terms of George W and 1 term of Biden.

It's damn near the norm.

I like that we can diagnose people we've never met now.

Biden stammers: Dementia.

Trump talks about airports in 1776: Mistake.

Biden slips upstairs, falls off bike: Deteriorating.

Trump never exercises and can hold a water bottle: Picking on him.

And I didn't want Biden to be the nominee in 2020, but he's a hell of a lot better than DJT even if he's slowed down at his age.

What? Haha the news outlets were buzzing for days and had to have experts come on to diagnose because Trump drank water with two hands and walked slowly down a ramp lol

Yeah that guy sure got a pass for everything
