Laughable return. No way you move from #1 to 5 and only net a mid first rounder and a 2nd. Other trades involving the number one or two picks resulted in more than one first rounder being added AND those were usually future picks from bad teams who were likely to end up being top 10 picks as well.

Even mike isn’t stupid enough to take this trade

The next time anybody talks to Lance Zierlein, please tell him to kiss my pasty white ass.

The ol'  I don't mean to be dick but...and then proceed to be a dick.

I don't mean to upset anyone but...then upset everyone.

The very phrase means I am now going to do the thing I just got done saying I don't mean to do.

Remember, Phins have been trying to influence Burrow for months to view the Bengals negatively so that he would be traded. Even if the Bengals were to accept 7 1st rounders for Burrow, with their track record over the last several years, those 7 picks would not have changed the course of the franchise like a franchise QB will.

Phins can trade for Dalton but the Bengals will not be trading the first pick of 2020 NFL draft.

DRAFT JOE BURROW, DO NOT TRADE. We've made some good moves in FA.

Lol.

Pathetic.

"If there is any sense in Cincinnati that Burrow doesn't want to be a Bengal..."

How is it possible this narrative still exists?

The media does not want the Bengals to stop sucking. We are their low hanging fruit, their cheap shot target. If the Bengals start winning again, they'll actually have to come up with new material and they just don't have it in them. They're all like a bunch of Steeler fans over in Smack Talk. That's where a lot of this come from. Hell, guys on ESPN were recommending that Burrow pulls an Eli. If I heard it once, I heard it a hundred times.

When Burrow made it clear he would play here, they had to shift gears and this is their new course. Miami wants him bad so it's inevitable they'll end up getting him. Evidently, the Phins will somehow outsmart the Bengals and slicker the pick away. Hell, for awhile the Panthers were gonna do it.

And when you get right down to it, the Dolphins have been way more of a joke than the Bengals yet for some reason, nobody laughs at them. When's the last time they were in the playoffs? You go back in time, you get to a year where they dropped a bundle in FA and got nothing from it a lot sooner than you get to a year when they made the playoffs. Hell, they couldn't even get tanking right. Talk about inept.

Everything in this post is my fault.

Give Zuerlein a break. I follow him on twitter and he's never been an anti Bengals guy or a an anti Burrow to Cincy guy.

He really is a guy that mixes up his mocks almost every time. He isn't the type to make 1 or 2 changes and let it fly every week like some of the others.

I think I disagree.  Not about who this guy is or what he normally does because I have no idea who he is or what he does and frankly don't even give a shit.

What I disagree with is his motive.  This was clearly click bait fodder to play into the Joe Burrow cannot be allowed to go to Cincinnati narrative that blowhards everywhere can't stop pushing.  It looks a whole lot less like a guy just mixing it up than a guy being a tool and jumping in line to take a roundabout pot shot at the Bengals.

Normally I would agree, but he's one of the guys I really follow and every year he has a different draft (with different resasoning) every time he does one.
