Higher Taxes causing major exodus from liberal states

Biden can lie his economy is doing well, but the reality is basic conservatives principles versus liberal policy is hitting the pocket books of the lower income and the middle class. Biden says the economy is heading in the right track, but the facts don't back it up. The polls don't back it up. Biden's attack on fossil fuels triggered inflation.

The price of gasoline was 2.39 a gallon.AAA Gas Prices
January 22, 2021. Since Monday, the national average for a gallon of regular gasoline has increased by one cent to $2.39, which is two cents more than a week ago, 16 cents more than a month ago,
Versus Today - National Average $3.732 Price as of 7/28/23 or $1.33 a gallon higher than when Biden took office. Trump understands a business man the negative impact on inflation high fuel prices have on the middle and lower income classes.Biden's economy has produced a 56% increase in fuel costs due to his energy policies.

It is true Biden has put a bandaid on inflation, but since he took office inflation has outpaced wage growth by over 5%, thus the middle class and lower income are bringing home 5% less a year than they did on January 21, 2021 when Biden took office. They are taking on more debt, cashing in retirement plans and living paycheck to paycheck.

https://www.cnn.com/2023/04/29/politics/state-of-the-nation-poll-economy/index.html

In April of 2023
Among the 69% who said things were going either pretty or very badly, dim views of the nation’s economic conditions were a top driver. The smaller share who were more positive often cited their own, rosier takes on the economy.

The Biden's think moving year over year inflation from 16% since January of 2021 to an additional 4% inflation means it is working. But, in the end Biden economy will be likely over 20% since he took office. In contrast, Trump had a booming economy until the pandemic hit and Democrats chose to shut down the economy by going overboard with lockdowns. If not for Republican states like SD (no lockdowns) and Florida ignoring recommendations and opening back their economy, Biden' inflation would be worse.

Make no mistake, Democrats and Biden own this bad economy. Make no mistake, everyday Americans feel the financial pain.

A whopping 69% say they feel it. That is the Biden and Democratic state results.

I can't speak from an economist point of view, but I can share my experiences as a common citizen and consumer. All I know is that when I moved from NC back to rural SE Ohio and they essentially matched my salary, I expected it to be a boon for my savings account. For the first 6 months it was, as I was able to put aside an extra $1000/mo towards savings. Over the past year and a half since, that number has went down, dramatically.

I'm not naeve enough to assign all of the blame toward the Biden administration, as there are global events and situations that are out of direct control that effect prices on the world market, but I do feel that his and his Party's line of decision making certainly haven't helped the situation.

I'm always curious which decisions were made that affected the economy.

I can give an example:

The "Tax Cuts and Jobs Act" resulted in many individuals receiving less back in the tax refunds or owing more.  It established lower rates for corporations, estates, etc and made them permanent.  It lowered some individual rates...and that expires in 2025.

The articles goes on to say how potential trade wars muted the affects of the bill anyway.  A "decision" that hurt the common citizen.

I too feel not everything is at the feet of the POTUS.  The entire world is bouncing back from Covid and just because 1/2 of Americans don't believe it was real that doesn't change  anything.

So what decisions have been made by the Biden administration over the last couple years that caused the economy to be "bad".

When blue states send these people, they're not sending their best. They're sending people that have lots of problems, and they're bringing those problems with them. They're bringing drugs. They're bringing crime. They're rapists. And some, I assume, are good people.

You can celebrate, but people who have the lack of ties to a state to the point where they can or need to flee due to economic issues aren't going to make your state better.

Lol with the gas prices. I’ve seen it explained to you a number of times.

Your denial of reality doesn’t change it. It just makes you look like a child who can’t learn simple concepts.

If you look at the list of countries with the cheapest gas prices on earth you don't exactly see a laundry list of countries conservatives respect.  Venezuela tops the list...aren't they a socialist nation?  Pack yer backs, it's time to move to way south.  Why stop at Florida or some other red state?
