"No Tax on Tips" Vote Trump
#1
Trump announced in Vegas his plan for no tax on tips if elected. Biden plans to end the biggest tax saving plan, the Trump tax cuts if elected. Trump plans to extend it, saving the average family of 4 over $4000 per year in federal taxes.

But there is more, he has also said he will end taxes on tips, impacting millions of people and saving them money at a time high inflation is killing them. Biden says watch him, we are, one is for raising taxes, one is for lowering taxes. Biden sats you have a choice, he is correct, choose to give the government more money to waste or give it back to hard working lower and middle class.

The DNC always says GOP tax cuts only benefit the top 1%. It is a lie and propaganda. The new no tax on tips will have no impact on the top 1% or top 40%, it is straight tax savings for those who need it. The idea was presented by kid Rock to put it on receipts.

Trump encourages voters to write ‘no tax on tips’ on restaurant receipts
Trump said restaurant workers, hotel workers and caddies would most benefit from his proposal

Former President Trump on Friday encouraged his voters to write on restaurant receipts to spread the word of his proposal to eliminate taxes on tips.

Trump made the remarks at an event celebrating his 78th birthday in West Palm Beach with members of Club 47.

The former president told the crowd that as part of his plan for further tax cuts, he would eliminate taxes on tips for "restaurant workers, hospitality workers and anyone else that gets tips."
"No tax on tips, okay? It’s done. Done. And we need to spread the word so that every time you leave a tip for the next five months, you put on the receipt, vote for Trump, because there’s no tax on tips," Trump said.

Trump first proposed the idea of eliminating taxes on tips during a rally in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday.

Trump reiterated these ideas while addressing the "People’s Convention" of Turning Point Action in Michigan on Saturday.

"I have announced that I will eliminate taxes on gifts for restaurant workers and hospitality workers. And anyone else who relies on tips, no more taxes on tips! None," Trump said, noting that Kid Rock had taken up the suggestion to write on restaurant receipts.

It is an okay idea, but how about the people actually making the food and ensuring the dishes sanitized and the bathrooms are clean, who make significantly less than tipped employees?

I think a certain segment of the population should taxed a lot less than the rest, but just singling out tipped employees does not help those most in need.

I was in the restaurant business for almost 50 years. I assure you restaurants pay their cooks more than their tipped employees, or they would have no cooks. The other positions you mentioned are entry level positions that great workers can get promoted by showing the boss they are more than a dishwasher. As a teenager, my third job was a dishwasher at a country club. I did that for 45 days and was promoted to a waiter.

In my business, the Maintenace (cleaning) person starting pay was higher than hourly managers and had better benefits.

Restaurant work is extremely hard on your feet for 8 to 10 hours a day and walking miles. In my opinion, they are one of the most underappreciated workers in our country.

I love the fact I can give someone a large tip and I am not giving 20% of it to Uncle Sam. Also, as an owner, I love the fact it is one less piece of work removed from the plate of the managers who are held accountable by the government to keep strict records and ensure tips get reported.

As I stated, it is also a true lower to middle class tax break and can't be identified as anything close to a tax break for the rich.

I assume the answer to that is that those jobs are supposed to be temporary and springboards to real jobs where you don't need people to help you make a living wage.

I agree.

I am simply asking why the favoritism towards a position that is a smiling face that fills drinks and hopefully doesn't put a thumb in my food, versus a lower paid position that is more vital to customer health?

It seems you ran a good business, but can assure you that is not the norm now. Restaurant work is hard and taxing, as it is similar to jail and/or nursing home work, where you are always, if not almost always open. Managers work crazy hours. Low work force participation spreads the employees thin and makes the managers lean heavier on the good employees. Most do not have the staffing they need, and thus they cannot afford to fire the crap employees.

I also enjoy giving great tips for great service, but do not believe in tipping as a courtesy. Times are tough, and it is nice to be able to give someone a momentary raise they well deserve.

Vegas is very heavy in tipping from the moment you land there. The taxi to your casino. The hotel people. The restaurants. It's probably a decent selling point if you worked there.

We actually don't tip much in Europe.

Mainly because people are paid to serve at a bar or a restaurant.

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

You mean paying customers aren't expected to subsidize the establishment's cost of paying their employees a living wage?

Smells like Commusocialism. Some -ism. Not sure which. Bet the service stinks too. I mean, without dangling the carrot of meaningful pay as motivation why would anyone do the job they are paid to do?

He made a pandering promise to a service union base that he has no intention toward for follow through on.
It’s a ridiculous proposal that harms low wage non tipped employees. Tax the minimum wage dishwasher and give tax free money to servers who with tips make a lot more money

Ha, that seems like a perfectly semi-important thread to blatantly misuse for wishing the French football team a bad game tonight...

True... we're still not 'great' though, also a tad overrated at this point.

I wish for a raunchy 4:4, it would be quite the success for us. Pretty sure France wins with ease though. Have fun - and sorry for this disruption. Tip your waitresses and waiters.

It is sad you are just like most typical liberals, very uninformed on taxes and how to run a business. If you understood, a dishwasher making minimum wage does not pat a dime in federal tax right now.

I find it ironic you have said conservatives can't think for themselves, yet here you are looking very much you are just using liberal talking points.

Biden gives pays off student loans of college graduated voters who have made millions but did not pay their loans. You say he is great.

Trump said he would give the middle class the biggest tax dollar savings in history. Did he do it or was he pandering?

Since you bring up fraud, how did the Biden crime family do receiving money from China, Russia, Ukraine and others? Last count, bank records show 10's of millions of dollars, yet bunch of shell companies and no business? Hunter never paid taxes on anything from Ukraine in 2014 and 2015. Yet, Biden says rich need to pay more in taxes, unless you are a Biden.

FYI for those not informed, Democrats and Biden will allow 2018 Trump tax cuts expire which will hurt middle class more. Warren dishes on the low and middle class saying no big deal they would pay more, worth it to go after the rich.

Elizabeth Warren warns Dems to stand firm on tax hikes as fight looms over Trump-era cuts
Sen Warren backs hiking taxes taxes on corporations, wealthy earners as part of the Trump tax cuts expire

"A little money for poor children or a modest tax cut for middle-class families is still a lousy deal when we can’t fund childcare or infrastructure because the wealthiest among us are still sucking up billions in tax breaks," she will reportedly explain.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., is pressing her fellow Democrats to take tough stances on new tax policy as lawmakers prepare for the expiration of part of the Trump-era tax cuts after 2025.

excuse me but the Republicans control the House of Representatives...and the House must initiate all tax bills...Call Mike Johnson and his merry gang of incompetents.  I'm sure they would be happy to take a break from their internal bickering to do their supposed jobs
