I think you could make the case for Reader over Williams or either of the 2nd team guys. Certainly you could replace Moseley with Pratt.

Due to the time he missed this year, I don't think you can put Chase in, but I do know that Davante Adams doesn't belong there.

I don't get too riled up about it. It's an anomaly. Two of our top candidates missed time with injuries (Chase, Reader) and even the guys who played were managing their own (Hendrickson, Higgins).

Burrow should be a perennial AP from this point forward. That streak might have started this year had things worked out better (appendicitis, Buffalo, etc.). Luck really does play a big factor imo. Just hasn't worked out for us. Yet.

Eh, I’m not too upset about it. Besides Burrow, Reader is really our only other possible All-Pro THIS YEAR, and that Williams kid is pretty damn good. We have some REALLY good players though, and I’m willing to bet that a full season of Chase would have put him in. Adams, while the Raiders sucked, still put up like 15 TDs this year, led the league I believe.

Reader was harmed by missing time to injury. I think Burrow is a better second-team name than Hurts, but otherwise I wouldn't say there was a proper snub (closest option might be Germaine Pratt). That's fine. It'll motivate them further anyway.

The weirdest Bengals-related news from this was that Jonah Williams received a vote.

We have a lot of players who I would consider in the top 5 of their positions but only JoeyB, who wasn't going to ever beat Mahomes or Hurt this season, Reader, who missed 6 games, or Chase, who missed 4 games, would I consider top in the league.

Remember when we had no pro bowlers?

Now we worried about all pros.

It's fine. Extra motivation during the postseason.

I don't think anyone got snubbed here.

Burrow was our only shot in my opinion; Mahomes and Hurts have better stats--and have been more dominant this year.

Chase was hurt. Hendrickson missed time. Reader missed time. While they have been good, they weren't best in the league at their positions and they didn't play the entire year.

Same way I feel. It's okay and like WVUhomer said, just more motivation.

I'm confident that there's only one award or accolade anyone on this team cares about right now.

Bright side is Bengals do not have pay ay bonuses related to all pro so will save some cap dollars in 2022 they can roll over.

Davante Adams put up over 1500 yards and had 14 TDs....
Zac Taylor 2019-2020: 6 total wins
Zac Taylor 2021-2022: Double-digit wins each season, plus 5 postseason wins

Meh.
Hurts not even 4000 yards passing. Only 4461 total yards, 35 total TDs.
This was in 15 games btw.

Burrow with just 1 more game - 4475 passing yards (4732 total yards), 35 passing TDs (40 total)
I think you can easily argue Burrow deserves to be 2nd team, at least when comparing to Hurts.

Mahomes deserves to be 1st team QB though. Over 5500 total yards, 45 total TDs. Dude did that after losing Tyreek Hill. Beast.

Ahh, didn't know Hurts numbers. Agree Ochocincos after knowing this. Burrow should be 2nd team behind Mahomes.

Burrow & Reader should be on All Pro 2. Bates, Bell and Pratt have an argument. Chidobe would have been on the list If it wasn't for injury.

Burrow as 2nd team would be the only change I would make to move a Bengal in.

Reader only played 10 games and left 1 of those pretty early when he got hurt. Same problem with Chase missing games. Nobody else played at an All-Pro level this year. (Doesn't mean they didn't have good seasons, but All-Pro is a whole different level.)

This team is just too well rounded for one guy to look like he’s the best in the league if his name isn’t Joe Burrow. Unless we get a pass rusher who racks up 19 sacks Burrow is probably our only all pro hope until we lose Tee and Boyd and Chase starts eating more target share.

Yes it’s not a big deal but you have try and get any extra little edge you can.
If I’m Zac call the whole team together to announce the all pro team like someone is going to make it/be cheered by all of his teammates and then say “sorry but you guys just aren’t good enough”…
