the overtime rule

Because of the rule, my company was looking at taking about 1/3rd of its employees off salary, and hiring 50-60 employees so that they wouldn't have to pay over time. It was going to be that much cheaper to hire people than it was to pay out the overtime (which they haven't had to pay).

And now, that's probably not going to happen. Understaffed offices will have staff working 60+ hours and getting paid 40.
