So Stein is dropping the recount effort in PA. Does this put an end to it all? I really haven't paying much attention to the news in politics for more than 6 months so I seriously don't know.
On a side note, I have looked at news (and this forum) a handful of times since the election to see if the deepening divisive nature of the political landscape is easing in the media. Ironically I've been finding talking to people in person lately easier as long as I lead with letting people know I detest both extremes. So, is the news safe yet or is it getting worse?
With at least 2 recent bans and 1 suspension, is this forum getting safer for those of us wanting to discuss instead of spreading intolerance?

I will admit the results have brought out the worst in many. As I have said: It is the first time many have been told you don't get what you want.
I doubt there will be a "common ground" anytime soon. But please feel free to discuss whatever you wish.

What I saw on the local news today was the Green party is just taking it to the federal courts rather than the state ones in PA.

That's what I read earlier today as well.

A lot of the Green Party folks are not happy about this stunt.
There are some big, internal rumblings.

Yep, and I think I have read somewhere that they called Jill Stein Ex-Green Party member.

In Michigan, Jill ran into a possible roadblock.
A recount that started Monday might end after the state appeals court said Stein has no standing to have the votes recounted. The court said she finished fourth in the election and doesn't qualify as an "aggrieved" candidate under Michigan law.
The court ordered the state election board to reject her recount petition. The board meets again Wednesday.
Attorney General Bill Schuette said the decision means the recount "must stop." But Stein's attorney, Mark Brewer, insisted the recount isn't over.

And I had no idea that La Roque had requested a recount in Nevada. CA is probably too expensive.

Has Stein demanded a recount of the Time Magazine vote yet?

She might, so long as she can convince the DNC to keep funneling her money..

It is 2016. Making people show an ID to vote really shouldn't be a big deal.
Should be something like every 5 years you get a free ID from the state. If you need one replaced you have to pay.

Bite your tongue, young man. No Sir, people shouldn't be required to show an ID that they are legally required to have on their person, at all times, in most American locales. That is discrimination! What is wrong with you?!
