Rittenhouse to sue Biden campaign for libel

So you still have never seen left leaning posters called out in a similar fashion?

I mocked bfine half as much as bfine mocked Pat as a direct response to what bfine initiated and, yet, didn’t hear peep out of you when bfine did it. Which side does the condemnation for perceived extremes come from when it comes from you? And since you’re inconsistent in pointing it out, is your opinion worthless due to your own inherent inconsistency?

Disagree. There's a handful that believe if you aren't alt right, you're a socialist. And there's a handful that think if you aren't far left, you're a racist.

Don't judge the majority of either side by a handful of idiots. Whether on this board or otherwise

I don't judge the majority in that way at all.  I think that most of the people who post here are thoughtful and rational people.  I just don't see the kind of universal condemnation for our more far left members than I do our far right.  I'll certainly try and be more aware of the balance in this regard when I see it.

Is it possible there is no real reason for "universal condemnation" of both sides?  No need for "balance"?

Hypothesis: The "far left" in this forum often say things that elicit condemnation from the far right, but not from the majority of "thoughtful rational people" who post here.

That's why you don't see "universal condemnation" of "far leftists".

It's for the same reason that far right members are suspended and banned in greater numbers than the far left (and that doesn't reveal some deep bias on the moderators' part).

The "thoughtful rational majority" here is unlikely to say that if Chris Wallace interrupted Trump 75 times then something's not on the level if he only interrupted Biden 15 times.

From your perspective I have zero doubt that's the case.

Lucy aside, and I see him as an outlier, that's not at all true and two of your friends can attest to this.  The moderators are much more even handed in this regard than the general posting "public".

Seeing as I'm not talking about that your introduction of it is curious.

I personally like Jim, but this assessment is unfortunately becoming more accurate.

How many people have I mocked for complaining about other’s bias without that person throwing the first stone?

Yes, that’s why I so rarely engage with you in a pages long back and forth. And why I understand your views are more nuanced than just conservative or liberal and have defended you from unfair or inaccurate attempts to pigeon hole you with a label. Because I’m a troll. Or am I trolling a troll?

I haven't really kept track, but I will pay more attention henceforth.

I probably stated that too harshly.  I have noticed you engaging in trollish posting much more of late, quite honestly even with me on a few occasions.  But I will absolutely allow that I don't always catch what preceded it.  So I retract my statement, with apologies.

Lucy? Like he's the only one? Not Vlad, not others? A response to my second post in this forum, on voter fraud, led to a suspension of someone I've not seen since.

So you are contesting my claim that "far right" posters have been suspended and banned at a greater rate than the "far left."
What left poster has been banned at all?  An occasional suspension of "my two friends" hardly balances this.

Same on the old message board--Sloppy, Jace, Golden Arm, and Lucie there too. I'm only aware of one "leftist" type banned from a Bengals message board, and that was Jamie the Lanky, for persisting on a gay issue. On the old board.

And that brings us to why I mentioned the debate--the assumption that something is odd, "one-sided," if "rightists" are flagged for bad behavior more than "leftists."  As if the fact they are flagged more--or receive "universal condemnation"--indicates some distortion in the political sphere, and not a fair indicator of their own behavior.

We don't see "universal condemnation" of the "far left" in this forum because they don't call down that condemnation.

If they did, we would.

So the question is why they don't call it down on themselves, as do the rightists, not why don't they get it.

My apologies that this turned into such a tangent, but I ask folks to see if they can identify where it started.

Could it possibly be someone bringing in stuff from another thread? Which I believe we frown upon.

We all say things in threads during back and forth and folks following the thread can usually determine the content , but when someone just parrots something they read in another thread, then I consider that to be trolling, but it's not my call.

You do know that most of the guys you mention are the exact same dude, right?  But as bfine rightfully pointed out, we've now hijacked this thread (I'm as guilty as anyone) so I'll cease doing so on my end.

If a parrot parrots obscenities do you blame the parrot?

Well since folks can seem to stop talking about each other and derailing let's go ahead and shut this down.

As a reminder, the forum will be coming down in six(ish) hours
