Target Hurst
#1
NFL Countdown suggested the Bengals target Hurst more often. I agree. With Chase out, Burrow should be throwing more to the tight end. Hope he does so today against Carolina.

I definitely agree, target Hurst and mix in some run plays.

Hurst is an ideal alternative to Chase, but Zac & Callahan must come up with a different game plan for it to work, otherwise we'll have another inept offense like last week. Adjust coaches! adjust!!!

Hurst made incredible catches today to keep drives alive. Catches that CJ would never make even though some on here cant see a difference......

It looks like with us he's playing up to his original draft status.

Lots of passion and grit too.

Anyone catch him get in someone’s grill, maybe late 3rd Q-ish. It was after a special teams play. He is beastly.

Hurst just always seemed to have been in weird situations prior to this year. Was in Baltimore and Mark Andrews appears and just lights the world on fire. So he goes to Atlanta and plays with the shambling corpse of Matt Ryan and then the team adds Pitts. This is honestly the best situation he's been in so far in his NFL career. Have to hope the Bengals can sign him to an extension at season's end.

As long as he stays healthy they should definitely lock him in.  Then get some better TEs to back him up.  Bye Drew.

Hayden was hurt very early giving Andrews the opportunity... tough breaks for sure.

Touched Taylor down although Taylor gave himself up. Guess he thought he touched him too hard?

Hurst is fine replacement and a nice possession te so far but he has not shown to be able to open up the middle of field so I hope we draft a more down the field TE especially if hurst wants much of a pay raise.

Maybe but we don’t necessarily know what his routes are.

Do we know that he can't do this or is he not being asked to do this?

So many times people get it in their head that a player can only do or play one role because that is how they are schemed to be used. Sometimes it is just the coaching and gameplan.
