Texans Game Cost Us a Bye
#21
The Texans loss was bad but it was only one loss and even the greatest teams have one or two clinkers in a year. For the Patriots it was that fun game with the Eagles

The Texans are far from lowly.

So did the Steelers game....or the Cardinals game.

Every loss costs us equally. It doesn't matter who it was against.

Anyway, we only have full control of our playoff-bye destiny tonight. After that, chips have to fall and we have to win the last game. Not good, we must win tonight.

There is always a game you lose that you should have won and a game you win that you should have lost in a season.

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

The Texans are lowly. Without a bad division (remember, they played the Titans twice, the Jags twice, the Dolphins, the Bills, the NFC South (marginal outside of Carolina)), they don't sniff the playoffs.

Maybe, just maybe, you can consider them average. Losing 10-6 at home with a fully healthy team?

It cost us from getting a bye week last week. But we STILL have a chance to get a bye week. We control our own destiny when it comes to getting the #2 seed. Sometimes great teams struggle against others.

The Bengals have only lost games to teams with winning records. The Panthers are the only other playoff team to do so. Every other playoff team has at least one loss to a team with a losing record.

Things are not as 'doom and gloom' with that retrospect.

I agree, Texans are lowly. Their record says they are average. Putting up 6 points, wreaks. Everyone has a couple bad games a year, but it was easy to tell the Bengals were totally scared of one man. If your Defense gives up only 10 points, you must win.

Watt wasn't even the best player on defense that game. Eifert struggled tremendously that game, the worst we've seen so far. Didn't throw to Green until the 2nd half. Run game couldn't get going. They allowed Yates to go score a TD.

By far their worst game of the year. But they still almost won. The Broncos lose to the Raiders. The Pats lose to the Eagles. The Steelers lost to the Ravens, twice.

The Bengals lost to a division leader. A team with a winning record. Again, Bengals and Panthers are the ONLY playoff teams that haven't lost to a team with a losing record.

That's true, Eifert dropped a ton of balls that night, he basically didn't exist lol. Kind of like now...

Exactly, we just have to take care of our own game.

Geez, if all of those games went our way that would of been a miracle.

Technically, they had a losing record at the time. Ninja
