Texas Christian claims she diverted tornado to another neighborhood

You can decide what you made up or if she was failed.

From the OP;

Quote:The tornado killed eight people and destroyed about 600 buildings in nearby Garland as the storm barreled north from Sunnyvale to Rowlett, where Lowe lives.

So no, I wasn't making it up.  She didn't fail because stating she failed would imply she had a chance to do something and didn't accomplish it.  Like I said above, it's obvious when you're struggling because the disinformation and deliberate misinterpretation comes thick and fast.

There's a quote...I may have posted it before...but basically it says its funny how many people say when god speaks to them he always agrees with them and their point of view completely.

You must have accidentally forgotten to quote the very next line in the OP.

Yep, I'm struggling to show how she killed people.

I do appreciate the effort.

I'm struggling to show she spoke to a weather event.

You are clearly of much greater faith than she.

Perhaps that is because she didn't

I was close:

Did I say she killed people?  I'm pretty sure I said god did.   Cool

Do you?  Do you see?

The other people should have prayed too. They didn't and they died. That does it for me!

You said she credited her faith for killing other people (which was absolutely moronic). Do I need to quote it?

Eventually you'll get to something you truly didn't say.

no. she specifically says she did 'speak to the tornado'.

Quote:“We actually went outside and started commanding the winds, because God had given us authority over the winds, the airways,” Lowe said. “And we just began to command this storm not to hit our area. We spoke to the storm and said, ‘Go to unpopulated places.’ It did exactly what we said to do, because God gave us the authority to do that.”

perhaps you're attempting to eschew details for your own purposes.

Technically, the tornado did go to an unpopulated place.
There is a large park/preserve between Rowlett and Garland.

So, she didn't send it to Garland to kill people.
It went where she wanted.
It just happened to leave that place and continue on.

Look, can we stop legitimizing this woman's insane idea that she's an X-Man. People cannot control tornados.

Unfortunately there are some here that would argue otherwise.

Storm was my first thought, when reading the OP.

Since you mentioned misrepresent how about "mislead"?
This article misled in its title and the very first sentence, and everyone in this thread ran with it.

This story was about what a group did, not an individual.

Not a ME or I in there....which brings up your narcissist bit...

Even if this woman did claim to perform this "miracle" alone, it does not deem her a narcissist, nor did her actions reveal "extreme levels" of narcissism. Every Christian is taught that they have a special relationship with god ,that god answers all prayer. This does not make them narcissists.

Drink the Koolaid Jim Jones and David Koresh displayed extreme levels of narcissism. That looney Applewhite, leader of the Heavens Gate cult was an extreme narcissist.
This woman simply believed prayer saved their lives.

I could not call a soldier who was praying while trapped in a foxohole a narcissist because he believed prayer saved his life either.

This is a non story. Just another great opporunity to bash god lovers.

She didn't kill people because she didn't do anything.  Today I prayed to Bigfoot that 9/11 wouldn't happen again.  You're welcome, and I think it's time you started showing both me, and those who believe in Bigfoot some respect. Also, Bigfoot says your god is fake and wrong and you won't be invited into his holy forest dwelling in the Pacific Northwest when you die unless you repent.

Also, my penis repels tigers because I don't see any tigers here.

Oh, and how convenient is it that this tornado spoke enough English to understand what the people were telling it. Though I guess when you are given power to speak with the elements there is some sort of magical non-linguistic communication method, too.

Of course not.  Claiming to have the ear of the only god that ever existed and he does as you ask is the very definition of humble.

I believe Cthulhu stopped a 9.8 earthquake from decimating the California coast last week because I stabbed a goat in the head.  Same amount of validity.

I wouldn't either, people who are terrified do a lot of things they wouldn't otherwise do.  That must be why so many people troll hospices trying to convert people on death's door.
