Some observations from today:

Derron Lee had the best day for any LB. Showed great speed and was already viewed as a high draft pick. He showed very good feet and nice hips to move in coverage. Overall a solid performance and possibly moved his draft stock up.

Leonard Floyd gained weight and was still fast, posting a 4.7 40 time. He did well in field drills and seemed very natural in it.

Scooby Wright didn't post a good 40 time, but he did well in field drills. Seems more natural and possesses football speed over straight line speed. Teams will have to look at tape to see it.

Su'a Craven looked great in field drills. Great hip, smooth, everything seemed natural to him. For a linebacker/safety he showed that he would be able to move effortlessly in the pass. Didn't do a 40 time, however.

Deion Jones had a great combine. Nice 40 time, smooth hips, showed nice burst, he did everything you want a linebacker to do at the combine. His stock is definitely rising.

Reggie Ragland's stock definitely rose. Not because he did anything amazing at the combine, but because of the injury to Jaylon Smith is going to project him higher. He lost weight and posted a pretty decent time, higher than expected. Some stiff hips, but nothing major. Pretty decent combine.

Robert Nkemdiche had a nice combine. Nothing amazing, but a good 40 time and apparently interviewed well. Decent in drills, but didn't blow anyone away.

Sheldon Day looked really good in drills. Explosion, nice burst, and quick with his feet. Showed power. Day looked really good and will have some teams debate on reaching.

Kenny Clark arguably had the best day when it comes to field drills. He showed explosion, great hands, burst, pad level, nice footwork, overall just an outstanding day for Clark.

My summary of who should be on our board....1st pick...based on underwear olympics numbers so far

Josh Doctson...Had a great combine in a weak class.  Showed solid speed,4.50, but beyond that was very good in other drills...41 vertical and 131 broad.  Better athlete than i thought.

Corey Coleman...not running was a disappointment.  I can't toss him out though.  Still put up a 40 1/2 vertical and a 129 broad jump. Solid 17 on bench. Jury is still out.

Shilique Calhoun...Good enough speed at 4.82.  He was well rounded in all the drills. Very good athlete across the board.

Leonard Floyd...Didn't lift but kicked butt in all the other drills.  4.6 40, 39 1/2 vertical, 127 broad.  He lacks strength but is super everywhere else.

Noah Spence...Wasn't as good as hoped for.  25 bench was respectable.  4.8 40, 35 vertical, 121 broad.  Not quite as elite.

Darron Lee...Only 17 bench, but terrific in other areas.  4.47 speed is outstanding.  35 1/2 vertical, 133 Broad.  Made an impression.

Shaq Lawson...Showed solid speed, 4.70, and excellent quickness in the shuttle.  Didn't lift.

Sheldon Rankins...34 1/2 vertical and a 118 broad.  Strong legs.

Andrew Billings....Very strong.  31 bench.  Ran a respectable 5.05 40.

Kenny Clark...29 bench, and a respectable 5.06 40.  Had a decent shuttle for his NT type size.

Jarran Reed...Not the most athletic.  Came off as he was, a reliable run stuffer type.  Big man showed some ok leg strength 31 vertical.

Looks like a solid DB class. If we get torn apart in free agency at DB we could re stock pretty quick.
