I have zero idea what you mean.  What do you feel is the the whole picture other that the facts of how the gop voted on the matter?

So if a doctor and a therapist say that hormone blockers are needed for a trans kid you are fine with them being prescribed?

Then you oppose the law these Republicans are trying to pass, correct?

Yes I am.  Those are clearly life altering decisions, don't you agree.

But funny that you had no problem with SSF comparing being transgender with committing a crime.  Gee, I wonder why that is?  Rolleyes

I eagerly await your discovery of their excuse for maintaining legal discrimination.

Yeah, like I said, I think this subject is a bit raw for you.  No worries, I get it.  I would say that getting upset with someone who is 95% in your corner over 5% is rather indicative of today's political climate.  I'll close by pointing out that threads go off on small tangents all the time, nothing malicious was intended.

Neither one of those is permanent in the same way altering your body is due to a subjective sense of self. With marriage, you can get divorced, and with military service you can finish your tour or be discharged. In both cases you are returned to pretty much the same state (physically) that you were prior to your decision. This is, of course, assuming you were not killed or wounded in the military. And yes, mentally you will be different, but you are always mentally different as time passes and you accumulate life experiences. Therefore, I don't think those are particularly good analogies in this case.

So being killed in military service is not as bad as a hormone imbalance or some plastic surgery you regret?

Dude, look who you're talking to.  Bullshit, disingenuous and word twisting arguments seem to be his only reason for living.

Yeah those are (mostly) reversible things.  I will say there *can* be long term problems with either of those decisions (marriage, military) too.

I said in a separate conversation on this topic that we expect 17 year old students to pick what job they want, or their major and then act surprised when it doesn't work out.  Those can be changed too though.

"Only"?

Once again you are fabricating lies about me.

I also care deeply about early 20th century sock puppet pornography.
