The dankest and rarest of Pepe memes are retweeted by the God Emperor Himself.

In case anyone is curious, yes, that is a tag used on posts about Trump in reference to him.

But like the media, you spew so much hatred at him, it seems like it's purely personal and even when he does tell the truth you call it a lie. So at that point, why believe anything you say and try to claim as truth when it makes you look like petty high schoolers?

And example from just today.  I don't have to call it a lie.

In a television appearance touting her father’s newly released maternity leave and child care plans, Ivanka Trump said that the Trump Organization provided all of its thousands of employees with paid maternity leave.

If it does, that’s news to employees at many of the Trump Organization’s hotels.

The Huffington Post on Wednesday morning checked the validity of Ivanka Trump’s comments to ABC. Employees at the Trump SoHo, New York and Miami hotels, as well as the Mar-a-Lago Club in Florida, all said that they do not offer workers paid maternity leave. Instead, they said that the company complied with the Family and Medical Leave Act, a federal law that requires companies to give employees up to 12 weeks of unpaid time off for the adoption or birth of a child.

An undated employee handbook for the Trump International Hotel Las Vegas, obtained by HuffPost, states that workers there are entitled to unpaid family leave, in accordance with the FMLA. The manual notes that employees must “substitute their earned and unused vacation days and personal days for any otherwise unpaid FMLA leave.” That is, if employees want paid maternity or paternity leave, they have to use other paid time off that they’ve banked.
Passed in 1993, the FMLA also allows for 12 weeks of unpaid time off to care for sick family members, or if the employee can’t work because of a serious health problem. But it does not guarantee workers any paid time off. A company must voluntarily provide it.

Another example of Trump telling the "truth".  *HE* allows for 12 weeks of unpaid leave...because it is federally mandated.

Just like all the work he did for the handicapped by building ramps and elevators at his properties. Out of the goodness of his heart, of course.  Not because he was required to and fined for not doing it.   Smirk

What is it about authoritarians that get the right wing's panties wet?

It's not just the right. To be honest, one of the most infamous authoritarians in history was a moderate. Civil liberties and rights are typically a concern of progressive thinkers, but over time there have been different issues packaged with them and it has flopped all over the place. It's just that right now the GOP has moved into a place where they aren't as converned with individual liberties and rights.

One man's authoritarian is another man's hero.

Just because he is someone's hero doesn't mean he isn't authoritarian. Being someone's hero is subjective, being authoritarian is not.
