O'Malley and Bernie forum crashed by Black Lives Matter protestors

His reply to quell the demonstration was to suggest "all lives matter". To support the booing of that speaks volumes

O'Mally gets it.  That is why he apologized.  In that context his comments were inappropriate.

It was also inappropriate for the protesters to interrupt him in the first place, but he should have commented on that instead of saying their cause was not valid.  Just because people use the wrong techniques to protest does not mean they do not have a valid complaint.  You have to be able to condemn their techniques without condemning their cause.

O'Malley is just trying to save the 3 votes he already has. 90+% of black people are murdered by black people. To applaud their outrage of someone stating that all lives matter just smacks of ignorance.

I wonder when the Police Director of Memphis will apologize?

Quote:“There is a theme that Black lives matter,” said Armstrong during a press conference. “At the end of the day, we have to ask ourselves, do all lives matter? Regardless of race, creed, color, economic status, what profession that person holds. All lives matter … and this is just a reminder of how dangerous this job is.”

I suppose he will only apologize once he "gets it".
