Yes, but the playoff losses have been hard to watch, especially the ones against San Diego and then Pittsburgh last year.

Next year might be good because the schedule will be easier and it might take just a couple of tweaks for the Bengals to turn it around.

Carlos Dansby got punked on that play and Derron Smith wasn't even in the same time zone let alone the right position. Playing loose cover-one zone against Joe Flacco will get you burned badly.

Dream scenario coming up...

Ravens get the ball with 1:00 left in the game and drive about 50 yards for a long field goal to tie it at the end of regulation. No one scores and the game ends in a tie.

The bengals punt on every 2nd half possession.

Shocked But that would mean the game had some sort of meaning! Shocked

Playing loose cover zone against any QB in this league will get you killed. It's a QB's dream coverage scenario. I'll never understand why we try to defend leads with this coverage. Too Chuck Bresnahan-ish

Bengals need to go back to Boyd, Core, LaFell, Burkhead....and no more looking at Peerman.....No points in second half after Ravens had no answer for our offense first half.....Still up by 10 , but lets go back to Boyd and others.

If you look at the really good defenses you virtually never see them in cover or soft zones. If they are in a zone it's a tight one but really man coverage has made a big comeback.

This is where Mike Zimmer used to bring the pressure and play man coverage.  It clamped down on plays like that and generated more interceptions.

Nope. Too good of an idea. Makes too much sense. Marvin won't allow it to happen
