What are you listening to? v2.0

Edited to add another.

Great little homage to the original where the girls start off playing air instruments, just like Journey did in the video and the drummer threw on a comically fake mustache in tribute to Steve Smith.

First gig at the Whiskey A Go Go . . . much heavier.

You are literally the only one I have heard talk about Helloween outside a few of my buddies from the 80s.

I just recently revisited Keeper of the 7 Keys 1 & 2.  Man that was some powerhouse stuff.

Like Iron Maiden on steroids.

I was really into them and Queensryche back in the day(still am).

Not really into this cover but glad someone still reveres it regardless.

By the way...  how do you feel about Loudness?  Akira Takasaki is one of the most overlooked guitarists of the 80s.

Dude could straight up shred and write some amazing riffs.  The whole band was really tight live too.

I’m a little late but Lamb of God dropped their new album “Omens” in its entirety finally. And EVERY track on it is an absolute face melter.

September Song is my favorite, with Gomorrah a close second!

Definitely older video.  The Vigil

Then came the Last Days of May..... B.O.C.

Saw them play at the Alaska State Fair in August and they were outstanding. Celebrating the 50th anniversary of their debut album, they played four tracks off of it including Then Came The Last Days Of May. While they played The Vigil during the tour, they didn't play it at this show. I went with some board members of our little non-profit radio station and The Vigil is his favorite BOC tune by far so I was a little bummed for him but it was still an awesome show.

A name so stupid it's awesome. Metal from Santiago, Chile

New Wave Of Old School Thrash Metal is a channel that is awesome if you like Thrash Metal that's not over produced and often so raw it's kind of sloppy. I usually describe raw Metal like that as "What Metal was like before Master Of Puppets made 95% of every Metal band on the planet hand it to their producer and say THIS is what I want to sound like"

New Wave Of Traditional Heavy Metal is another great channel if you like Heavy Metal more than straight Thrash. A lot more of an old school Iron Maiden/Judas Priest/Queensryche/Fates Warning vibe mixed in with some not so over the top Power Metal. This style is huge in Europe and I've come across some damn good American bands on here also.

I’ve been obsessed with the new Lorna Shore album since its release a couple weeks ago. Obituary just dropped new material. Amon Amarth coming to Cincinnati on November 27th with Obituary, Cattle Decapitation, and Carcass.

I missed the Cannibal Corpse show earlier this month. Totally slipped my mind. Not too happy about that.

There are two film icons above the message window when you post.
Click on the film icon on the right.
If you are using a YouTube link, you need to click on the pull down window for video type.
It is preset for Dailymotion, you need to move it down to YouTube.
I usually delete the http:// out of the video url window
Then paste your link and click insert

Christine McVie died, that's a big one so I'll spin her mostly good 1984 solo album right about now, I guess.

Sad to hear about Christine McVie. Always dug her smooth voice when they'd let her sing.

New Metallica and now . . . new Motorhead?

Re-releasing their last album with two unreleased tracks. Here's one of them.

I never knew that a pro shot concert of Dio on the Holy Diver tour existed. I love The Last In Line but Holy Diver is my favorite Dio album. I'd have killed to see this in the early 80s before Thrash took over my life.

Edited: . . . Side show of their opening for the Rolling Stones while they were in Chicago with Gregg Rolie still in the band. Pretty legendary Blues jam starting around the 23 minute mark.

I never bought the Bonfire box set but I had heard that this "Live In The Studio" recording was awesome. They were right. Pretty bass heavy which is rare for AC/DC. They normally have a very balanced mix.

It's been so overplayed. But it great to see Brad Delp live with his ridiculously talented voice.
