I tried. I honestly did. But i only got 3 minutes into the first one before hearing how our current President is a "closet Marxist" and then people started complaining about the United States not being a Theocracy.

Glenn Beck is a complete joke. i don't see how anyone can take him seriously.

I don't understand why right-wingers would listen to a man who cries on a regular basis.  It just seems completely against their whole "tough guy" delusion.

They're for Putin. Beck's thinking is "He is Putin, he is Communist, he won't cry, so I cry for him."

Bonus to anyone who can name that movie.

I really liked Beck's radio show back before he went completely nuts with all the conspiracy theories.

His morning DJ schtick was good even when adapted for AM talk radio.  Now I can't stand to flip by his television channel.

I almost want to watch for a few minutes but I kill enough brain cells on my own....

This....
He was reasonably ok, until he went way overboard on Obama being anti-Israel.

Now, I consider him a couple of small steps above "pro wrestling".

Just pseudo-entertainment.

Couldn't supporting the Muslim brotherhood be considered anti Israel? Usually policiticans will give lip service to these groups but Obama went over the top to praise the MB. Especially when they came to power in Egypt. He basically helped them along with rhetoric.

As for Beck .... Yes its entertainment and if you can get past the entertainment part there is substance. He successfully called quite a few things and has been doing it for years. Like anything we just have to be able to look beyond presentation.

Just because Glenn beck does something doesn't make it automatically wrong. Just as I don't dismiss what that dude Rachael Maddow does or says initially just because he is a raving socialist.

Oh, he's a smart guy with nuggets of truth, but I just got tired of seeing everything being presented as if he were pulling the drapes off of the wizard of oz all the time.

I brought the Israel thing up, because it was the first time I had seen that he was flat out wrong.
He seemed like some kind of shill, railing for support without acknowledging the true plight of the Palestinians.
I know we only get one side of the story through our media, so if you ever have the opportunity to speak to a Palestinian,  please take advantage of that to broaden your view of that area.

I used to be a big Beck fan, even have a couple books of his.
I suppose part of my issue came after talking to someone on their writing staff.
He admitted that most things were put together in a format to get attention,  like a shock-jock (understandable for $$$).
It just made it hard to take seriously, anymore.
He did say Glen is genuinely the guy you see on screen and a very kind man.

But yeah.... enough babbling

No he hasn't.

We were supposed to be living in a collapsed economy ruled by Sharia law, and ISIS was supposed to have established a vast Caliphate by now.

He has always gone for extreme disaster and over the top exaggeration because fear sales.  And pretty much none of it comes true.

Everything is presented for entertainment value anymore. You have to be willing to grab the nuggets now and again. I rarely dismiss anything straight away. At least until I have checked it out.
