This IS a nice board. And yes most of us were from the old Bengals.com forum.

The strangest Bengals forum still has to be the old AOL one - anyone here remember THAT one?

There were two players they listed the Giants could cut to make sure they had room for Golladay.  One was Evan Engram and forget who the other was.  Anways, prior to the Rudoph signing, this sretched their space from 4 to 17 million dollars.

Just remember that other teams do not operate like the Bengals.  It's not as simple as what you see is what you get in terms of cap space.  They'll make cuts, they'll use leverage to make guys restructure, and they'll move money around from year to year to make it work.

If the Giants really want Golladay I have no doubt they can find the money.  I'm not saying that means he's going there, I'm just pointing out that I wouldn't count them out because of how much it seems they can currently afford.

Yeah IF Golladay accepts less than 10m. If Corey Davis got 12per eeek if he accepts something like 7 or 8... but thats on him

Also just read he was in Chicago prior and met with Nagy and Pace so...

Reiff would be a HUGE get. Not only would it lock up and massively improve RT, but it would also provide draft flexibility.

We could take Sewell and bump Jonah inside (you don't take a Guard top 5, sorry...if Sewell is the pick, he's playing Tackle...not to mention Jonah is mediocre at Tackle), or if Sewell is gone, you could roll with Pitts and draft interior help later.
The training, nutrition, medicine, fitness, playbooks and rules evolve. The athlete does not.

I'll take this as good news.  Now move Williams over to RT and you can find a couple Guards to fill the gap.

They arent bringing this guy in to play guard that's for damn sure.

I think you take Reiff put him at LT....push Jonah over to RT and move back in the draft and take Slater or stay at 5 and take Chase if we dont get the FA WR in NY today.
I heard we were signing Reiff to play KR!!!

A guy I would keep my eye on that seems like a Bengal kind of pick is Teven Jenkins OT.  He is junkyard dog.  Maybe at top of R2.

Bengals need to get on the phone and offer them a lower round pick for Engram.  (They're desperate to unload him now with Rudolph.  They have zero leverage)

Cutting CJ Uzomah would pay for 5.3 million of Engram's 6 million dollar salary.  Both players have one year remaining on their deals.

Who would you rather have, CJ Uzomah or Evan Engram - 700k in cap space?
I kind of agree.....with the system Burrow works in we need three legit WRs. Only having 2 last year showed up.

Great grab, perfect fit. Reiff can play either Tackle spot and would thrive in a wide zone scheme! Yes

I'd take Engram in a second depending on what pick it would cost us, but now that we have Reiff I think I may want Pitts instead (esp if Sewell is off the table).

Holic deserves tons of thanks. I thought I was lost when the other Bengals board went down.

He brought me over and this Board is even better than the old. Ran by true Bengals fans. Tiger

Is he meeting with us, or did he meet with us already?

It just sounds kind of weird to hear he's meeting with the Giants, he already to met with the Bears, and "he still has the Bengals offer on the table."

It almost sounds like we're an afterthought.  These teams meet him in person, and while we just phoned him up and said "here's what we'll offer, call us back if you don't get anything better."

Fwiw, I'm not saying this is what's happening (I don't even know if he's scheduled for a visit), I'm just saying it kinda reads that way.
