It's so funny to hear fans here say to cut Jordan. You don't cut a 4th round draft pick in his 3rd year. He's one of the youngest on the roster still, and has already played a lot of football, gained experience, and is trying to get better and stronger working out with Big Willie this offseason. At worst, he's still a needed backup for their squad. And, he'll get even better with a better OL coach in Pollack.

Depends on his mental state. You have to have the mentality to impose your will on the other guy. The way Jordan get's pushed back, I'm not sure that is there. Give me someone like Meinerz, who has the mentality, and let the coaches coach him up.

you certainly don't cut him before training camp.  See what he's learned...see what he can learn from Pollack

Agree, we get to go to training camp with big numbers, so yes, let's see what he's accomplished.

Just not sure who is left worthy of a "splash".

Not sold on Turner, thinking the love is just desperation to sign a guard.

Yeah of course it is. Michael Jordan is the worst OG we've fielded in a long time. Even worse than Redmond. So yeah there is definitely some desperation, and rightfully so. Jordan got Burrow hurt. And its not like we have ay amount of depth at that position right now. Turner and Warford are worth a look eve if its just for better depth and a slight upgrade from Jordan.

Trai is a better pass blocker than Michael Jordan and it isn't even close.

Looks like i'm going to have to go watch some Chargers games and see what's up.

Yeah, see what's up Rfaulk. He was injured though last year so I wouldn't look at those clips.

Watch some games when he was healthy.

John Ross aside, you should be getting a game changer in the top 10, and we're in the top 5. There are holes and cracks all over this roster. Most of us want the same guy at 5, but if he ain't there, there's plenty of others who'll make a positive impact. I feel like they'd get too cute if they were to trade back.

People are underrating Vera Tucker, he can play OT and is the best Guard prospect in this class.

All I care about getting in the first is one of the top players at their position.

Sewell, Pitts, Chase or Vera Tucker are the best players at their position in this draft IMO.

If we can trade back and still get one of them or Darrisaw, Slater or Waddle I call that a great thing.

Ryan Kerrigan

Trai Turner (Warford if he's not done with football)

Is Kerrigan still anything like he used to be? We could add to the Vanilla Ice pass rush...
Jordan is one of if not THE worst Guard in the NFL and was the perp on the play that Burrow was injured on.

Hopefully, that is his motivation to get better. Has to be a huge weight on his shoulders.

Kerrigan had 5.5 sacks while only playing 38% of the defensive snaps last year, so he could be a decent rotation piece.

I hope so for his sake, but as a fan I don't ever want to see him out there again. It's hard to ignore that once Spain dropped out of the sky to us and XSF returned from injury and we had those two at Guard the constant jailbreaks on the interior OL abruptly stopped.

I watched 2 games from last year and he looked no better than what they have now. The games i watched were from right before and right after his injury. In each case, he looked...not very good. Then i went to 2017 when he was in his "prime" and the difference was night and day. His intensity, awareness, quickness, finish...it was all light years ahead of where it is now. Then i went to 2019. Dude looked really fat and out of shape.
As far as his size, he looks similar now to what he did in 2017, smaller than he was in 2019 when he looked too big and slow. He looked to have 'lost it' (whatever "it" is) after 2017. 2018 and '19 were average to below average years before being shipped off to LAC.
As far as your pass blocking comparison to MJ...there were more than a few times he looked just as bad as Jordan, post 2017.

It makes zero sense to cut Jordan before training camp. Let's see what he can do with Pollack as his OL coach instead of Turner.  Let's see if his off season work with Big Willie has paid dividends.  His cap hit is negligible and we have the roster space.

I've never seen a o lineman get bull rushed backwards into a qb's knee like MJ. And the guy is a big guy.

Then you haven't watched much football. Guys get bull rushed all of the time, like what Geno Atkins did to Guards much of his early career.

Washington had 4 1st round picks starting on their defensive line. I'm not shocked a young 4th rounder got blown off of the ball. It happens.

You beat me to it and said exactly what I was going to say, He must not watch very much football. Even the best get bull rushed into the QBs at times. Lol

Huh?

MJ either threw his man or his man fell onto Burrow's knee; he didn't, "get beaten," and have his guy just crush Burrow, he fell on him, torso-first.

I mean, cirticise the guy for his issues (rightfully so), but don't fabricate things.

Lol go watch it again , mj was being bull rushed from the back ,not sure who hit burrows knee but that play looked pathetic
So now there are reports we haven't contacted Turner.

And no word on Watkins or Hilton at WR. Seems like with the lack of depth at WR we'd be kicking tires on a few of them.
