What amuses me about this latest bit of cynical commercialism, is the idea that small town police officers have a job where they never face any sort of backlash or disrespect, because god knows no white person in a small town would do anything other than bow down to law enforcement.
Easiest job on earth, that. I will admit that I sort of get the line of thinking, at least when I was a kid. I grew up in a small town in western PA and as far as I was concerned the nearest bad person was in Pittsburgh and really those people weren't that bad because the real dangerous folks were in Los Angeles.
