As an aside:
I throw cornhole bags overhand! LOL!
I've thrown in a dart league for 40 years and it was more natural for me. Some of the guys in the league who throw underhand there are very good at the cornhole bags and horseshoes too!
I had to look the rules up and it IS legal but then you have to do it the entire game. Can't switch back and forth.
