Have installed the Toto bidet's for some rich people when I was a plumber.

5 grand a piece for a toilet!!! WTF?

I've used them before while over seas.  They actually are rather nice once you get used to them but it does take getting used to.  No skid marks and no dingle berries.  Big Grin

The ones I am talking about are about $50 on Amazon and fit under most toilet seats as long as it is a two piece toilet with a flat seat.  Reviews I read with plastic seats that curve down toward the bowl say that is a problem and don't fit.   They have a knob that sits to the side of the toilet seat to turn it on and clean your bits and pieces.  Like I said the water is supplied to it via a T-Valve and the water pressure once turned on moves the nozzle up as it does its job.  I've actually been thinking of getting one.

I quit it, so you do the same.

This one is just stronger and requires people to be more-vigilant, if they have symptoms.

I wasnt right I religiously use Green tobacco even when sick. I didnt touch it for 2 weeks.  I smoke 3/4 of a pack of cigs a day was down to 5 or 6 a day.

I don't have a dog in the fight, I'm just pointing out that I was more of the "overblown panic" mindset until I saw the gazillionaires who run professional sports closing up shop.  Not everything rich people does is right, but if the ultra rich are losing money due to corona panic that gives it more credibility than Janice on facebook posting a bunch of crazy memes about it.

That's all I'm saying.

Cool, I agree with that completely.
The NFL has now cancelled their annual league meetings in Florida at the end of the month.

Now Japanese toilets, that's just brilliant.

I want to import one.

I had to look that up.  They just seem like fancier bidets.

Quote:What is a Japanese Toilet?

The innovation in modern Japanese toilets is actually in the seat. These electric toilet seats spray water to cleanse one’s bottom or female genital area. The spray of water is initiated by a remote control panel near or attached to the seat.

In addition, these toilet seats can come with a lot of bells and whistles: heated seats and spray, pressure sensors to only activate when someone is sitting on it, dryers, motion sensors to open the lid when someone walks in the room, the ability to speak, and brushed steel luxury remote controls - almost any feature you can imagine actually.

But hey I want one too as they dryer function would be nice.  Big Grin

The Toto's I put in had all of that. Lots of bells and whistles for a toilet.

The guy had them in Japan and had to have them in his house here.
Well, looks like all sports are closing up shop right now, NASCAR is going to keep racing but without spectators, the economic hit is going to be bad, very bad. Governor DeWine has just announced that all pubic schools in Ohio are going to be closed for 3 weeks. Do some of you still believe it's being overblown or are some of these folks in the know keeping us in the dark?

Oh trust me, they are a JOY; I *looked forward* to going to the washroom AND stayed on the toilet longer than normal, when I was in Japan lol.

- The heated seats are so damn comfortable (and I HATE heated seats, normally; can't stand them in a car)
- The spray (at multiple powers, temperatures and spray-types) gets you super clean and requires you to use *significantly* less TP
- The standard ones nowadays are self-cleaning and open/close when you walk up to them

Just beyond awesome Big Grin

Any answer I give to this would be socially-related and therefore have a political slant.  The closest thing this reminds me of is pro sports taking a hiatus after the 9/11 attacks.  In theory said attack killed less people than car accents/swimming pools/chainsaw juggling etc but that didn't mean people weren't going to talk about it or alter their lives based upon it.

When in doubt, follow the money.  If important people are willing to lose money because of something then you may have something with some gravity going on.

Part of me thinks "Meh, it ain't gonna kill me" but I've also accumulated friends with immuno-compromised kids and some frail in-laws since my more reclusive days who could be at risk if I decide to "tough it out" and face the virus.  Such is life.
