Trump was correct with that remark.
This vermin known as Antifa have openly promoted violence and have committed acts of violence that far exceed those of this alt right group.

Trump could have said something worse from a leftists point of view and still be correct.
And to demonstrate another case of liberal hypocrisy...

So here on this board we've had several posters including yourself that have openly agreed that all groups, including this white hate group have the right to assemble and protest...yet if Trump uttered the exact identical sentiment, your heads would explode.

You try very hard to be on the up and up. Are you not offended that people on your side refer to Trump as a Nazi? You should be.

Has Trump's administration reversed policy decisions that helped DHS fight Antifa, or did he do that for white nationalists? Has Antifa been viewing his silence towards them as support, or is that white nationalist groups? I can say with 100% certainty that Trump not calling out the white supremacists acting in his name bolsters not only the white supremacists, but Antifa as well. It serves to radicalize both sides.

I wouldn't say I am offended by Trump being called a Nazi. I would say I disagree with it and think it is stupid to do.

I don't tolerate them because they advocate violence and because they move into communities and make things worse. Any situation like this, I blame the side that comes to the community from the outside first, because they know full well they are bringing the other. This time, it was the Nazis.

Whether people think Trump's condemnation of the KKK, and Nazi's was genuine, I don't think you can dismiss the fact that Trump had the balls to actually stand up there and say that. I honestly didn't expect him to, and I doubt many who don't like him did either.

I should have a word with myself? What does that even mean? It makes zero sense in the context of our conversation.

Did you, or did you not write the post below?

Are you taking back these words, or are you standing by them?

It sure seems like you're promoting the killing of protestors at the hands of automobile drivers. No matter how you slice it, no matter how much you want to justify it, you're insane for saying that.

You see a story of some white supremacist plowing into a bunch of protesters, and you went straight to the defense of the dude. Do you not realize how ****** up that is? Maybe you didn't know the whole story yet, or maybe you are just that terrible of a human, but you stated your opinion, then supported it in at least a dozen other posts.

...and now you're trying to hide from your comments. Understandably.

Lol...this is the low we've sunk to.

The president of the United States of America now "has balls" when he condemns nazis and the KKK. This is about a 2nd grade achievement, but people are shocked that Drumpf has done it.

Kudos, Donald.

Ahh the old "I don't wanna say anything positive about Trump" response.

If Antifa would have stayed home, three people may not have lost their life in Charlottesville. Some of this falls on them. It takes two to tango... But as Matt pointed out, this was a planned Unite the Right rally. They came with clubs, bottles, gas, shields. They came to "protest" the will of the local people, and defend a statue of Robert E Lee?... With rifles and clubs?... And they also ran a car into a crowd of people.... Local people.

Can we stop calling Nazis and KKK members Alt-Right? They really aren't part of the right and it's a dumb term they love because it legitimizes them and gives them a place to hide inside an actual party instead of being called the Nazi pieces of shit they are.
Alt-Right is a silly term to begin with. It's really meaningless and isn't doing anyone any favors.

No, I think it's great that he condemned them. I've actually already said that once here. He finally did something presidential, so for the 3rd time, Kudos, Donald.

I just think it's funny that disavowing and condemning nazis and the KKK is a solid source of balls. Everyone is shocked by this move. Do you not think that's a bit sad?

Agreed.

But people love to pull the guilty by association card.

But they are. Extremist outliers, sure...but they're surely part of the right.

Extreme vetting of refugees from failed states ain't the worst idea of I've ever heard. I question some of the countries not on the list, but whatever. Those of us that don't like him just can't understand how everyone else doesn't see the same putz we do...

But they aren't.

I don't think you can be a member of the right (small gov't, fiscal conservatism) and also be a national socialist.

They've just used that label as a way to legitimize themselves and calling them that only emboldens them and pushes actual members of the political right further away from being able to partake in politics.

There's a lot of "sad" things that go on in politics. I prefer not to dwell on that when people try to correct themselves. Trump had the balls to condemn racism and I applaud that because I honestly didn't think he had it in him.

It's kind of like like spam. I love spam, but a lot of people hate it. Now I'm not saying I love Donald Trump, I'm just saying I don't hate him. Actually it's nothing like spam, I just felt like mentioning spam in this conversation.

If you make that argument then the guy who killed the police officers in Dallas is part of the left.  The guy who tried to kill the GOP congressmen is part of the left.

Exactly.

Crazy people and assholes (Nazis) should be left to their own categories. Lumping them in with actual political parties does no one any favors except the assholes and crazy people.

The left has its extremists as well..you won't find me arguing against that. I think it's probably much less organized, and may have less political influence, but it's there.

The alt-right is a very well organized political movement that is heavily influencing the ideas of a lot of younger conservatives (even if the movement isn't representative of actual conservative values). I'm not going to point at them and say that they're representative of all republicans but they most definitely think they are. This is right wing extremism, no doubt.

I couldn't possibly be speaking about this guy since Matt who lives there repeatedly said this was a walking mall.

I was clearly discussing these protests of protests by Antifa and BLM. So yes when they try and block highways from people who are scared they could be pulled out of the car and beaten like we have seen over and over. Then yes run them over.

Here are some gems.

But nice try making it out that I promoted this guy.

There were multiple posts where excuses were made for the trash that killed that woman.

They can be read here.

People need to own their words.

And no matter what I won't side with the Nazis.

That should be a pretty easy stand for most people to make without trying the "both sides do it" defense.
