Im no political genius, but the notion of boring Biden and a Republican Senate sitting around doing nothing sounds like a decent time compared to the insanity of the past 4 years.

While I spent little real attention, regarding the senate races I heard the words record-setting and extraordinarily large sums of money and hugely outspending their GOP opponent quite a lot.

It seems fair to say they tried to buy the seats. I don't blame them, that's how it works. But using a lot of money to get the seats was kind of their move.

The insanity by the single most important official in the country? Yes. You won't have to wake up and check what he tweeted at 3 AM while watching cable news. It's not much but it's a start.

They did spend an insane amount of money. $50 million in KY netted a 38% showing.

I just am reminded that all those people that remained in office by being 100% sycophantic to Trump are still there.
And QAnon people.
And Trump.
And his "betrayed" followership.

This won't exactly be quiet.

They are limited in what they can do and they are merely a spoke in a big wheel.

If the Republicans hold the senate then nothing radical is happening on either side.

John McCain respecting Obama and refusing to play up the false narratives and scare tactics were seen as a lack of commitment and effort to Republicans.  That's what set them down the path they're far along now, it seems.
