He could be better but given the fact the dems have no one to run in 2020 other than an old socialist, pocahontus, and maybe a senator. He will crush any of those. He couldn't beat Biden. One poll found he trails any "generic democrat"...but would be Warren at that point. If Trump doesn't get something to pass...anything...he's going to have trouble holding on to that base of angry voters he got in 2016. RE: Trump approval rating higher in 33/50 states - BmorePat87 - 07-26-2017 So the only place where he has a 50% or higher approval rating is in states that have gone Red for the last 5 elections? Yup. This story is pretty much one big ol' RE: Trump approval rating higher in 33/50 states - ballsofsteel - 07-26-2017 Hello. Millions of voters stayed home last November and didn't vote for the Democrat candidate because they thought it was a sure thing. They won't make that mistake next time. RE: Trump approval rating higher in 33/50 states - Benton - 07-26-2017 26 states allow marrying your first cousin. Majorities aren't always a good thing. I quit overestimating the collective IQ of our country last November. Hopefully Trump burns the GOP to the ground and Hillary and DWS pissed of enough democrats that independents start getting some love.. There i go overestimating the IQ again. The Dems just need someone that can connect with middle America, leans more towards being a moderate than the Bernie left, and doesnt have any baggage. They find that candidate, they will win back the White House, guaranteed. The pull to the right on economic issues is what has caused the Democratic party to lose touch with middle America. You're talking about a Clinton style of Democrat but from a new source. I will continue to not vote Democrat in the general elections if that continues to be what they put up. RE: Trump approval rating higher in 33/50 states - Nately120 - 07-26-2017 This was about the time during Obama's first term when republicans started talking about what a sure-fire single term president he was going to be. Good ol' predictions. Anyways, I find it hard to believe Trump wants to be president for 8 years anyways. Maybe that's just wishful thinking, though. |
