Sunday night the Washington Post and 60 Minutes teamed up for the first time in almost 10 years to further investigate a WaPo story that first got little attention last fall.

It looked at how Drug Czar nominee Rep. Tom Marino took nearly $100k to help drug companies push a law through Congress that hindered the DEA's attempts to combat the spread of opioids in the country.

Trump was asked about the story on Monday and by Tuesday he tweeted that Marino was out of consideration for the Drug Czar position

Deflect? I would cut all of these positions.

I’m perfectly fine if we do not fill it. I want the acting fired and Department closed.
