What about the guy on the bottom??

I can’t even fathom why anyone would think he deserves a shot.

If we hire Lazor, it tells me that either Lazor is going to be our Jason Garrett and just do everything the owner wants, or Mike Brown completely scares the other candidates away with his outdated philosophies.

I don't know, I feel Mahommes and Hill and their Oline alone are carrying the chiefs rather than their OC. KInda like when Marvin was with the Ravens. The talent on the Chiefs offense is probably the best in the NFL right now. He's only been OC for 1 year, geeze. PASS.

You can have all the talent in the world and it doesn’t necessarily equal success. Look at Pittsburgh. With the offenses they’ve had under Tomlin they really should have a couple more rings.

I wouldn’t downplay the importance of good coaching. From HC down to the position coaches.

Seems to me that it is majority Reid based on the article i read.  In fact, the only time he's ever called plays was in college and his offense was one of the worst in NCAA.  I have my doubts bout EB.

I wouldn't be pissed if we selected him but I wouldn't be jumping for joy either. I think there are better candidates out there.

Could Mike Brown really replace a coach that can't win a playoff game with a coach that can't win a regular season game???? Surely to God they know down at PBS what this would do to the fanbase.....

People, she's a, "writer," for Cincy Jungle; she has no more insight or knowledge than you or I.

Maybe I misunderstood it, but aren’t these numbers from an actual betting site?

It still means nothing but it is interesting to see who they have leading the charge. Yet, not surprising.

That is when you end up with a Rob Ryan or Greg Williams (contrary to what people believe his defense in Cleveland wasn't good this year). Indy is winning this year with an old school Tampa 2 defense, which is the definition of bend but don't break.

Indy may be winning, but if you look at the blitz % of the NFL playoff teams, it is almost certainly all higher than those of the Bengals.

And I know I will likely get hammered for this, but as far as getting the most out of your players, from an energy and attitude standpoint, I think the defense by France where you run the other way with your hands in the air isn't worth a crap.  There were MANY games this season where over a stretch of four drives the Bengals gave up TDs on each possession.  They didn't even have to take the field.  The same thing would have happened.

Give me aggressive.  Try to make the opposing QB uncomfortable.  Contest EVERY pass, even the dump offs.  Run blitz on early downs.  I want more aggressive.

:o

If that's the case, then are people betting on ANYTHING nowadays?

Can I bet the next hour that Trump will take a dump?

Top 5 defenses based on blitz percentage and their rank of points allowed....

Cardinals- 26th
Ravens- 2nd
Steelers- 16th
Panthers- 19th
Browns- 21st

Bottom 5 defenses based on blitz percentage and their rank of points allowed....

Lions- 16th
Colts- 10th
Chargers- 8th
Eagles- 12th
Seahawks- 11th

4 of the bottom 5 are playoff teams 1 of the top 5 are playoff teams. Being aggressive sounds cool but it doesn't mean it equates to winning or even not giving up points.

I think overall as the week goes on the HC will be one of the candidates we know about. You don't hear them reaching out to as many people as you see other teams reaching out to.

RE: Eric Bieniemy set to interview with Bengals Friday - Atomic Orange - 01-03-2019

Personally for me it really is just about anyone that isn't currently employed by the Bengals.

RE: Eric Bieniemy set to interview with Bengals Friday - muskiesfan - 01-03-2019

I like the idea of bringing in Bieniemy. I would let him choose his staff, but I would like Del Rio as DC. As for OC, I do not want Hue anywhere near this team. Get rid of Lazor and let the door hit him and Hue in the ass on their way out.

Just please let it be anyone who Mike Brown is not “familiar” or “comfortable” with.

This is correct. Rebecca is not making those odds herself, she is relaying the odds from BetDSI Sportsbook betting site.

Not really interested in any of them.   The more I think about Bienemy I don't want him.   It's not his offense in KC it's Reid's.  He sounds like he's volatile without real substance.

Who knows what you get with the really young guys.

Time to move on from anyone in the current regime.

That is the issue I raised earlier.  How much does Bienemy plan and install offense schemes or is it just Reid's stamp.  I don't mind volatile coaches because players fear them.  I am assuming Bienemy has substance because of the results and Reid has kept him on the staff.

from what I heard/read he draws up the plays and Reid calls them, I don't have a source but I read it somewhere.
