Cop killer killed - Blutarsky - 09-15-2015

The killer of the KY Highway Patrol officer was a member of the "Black Lives Matter" street gang, attended the gentle giant Michael Browns funeral and apparently was a part of Al Sharptons entourage was hunted down and killed like the animal he was. Good, cause his life didn't matter anyway.

I am glad they got him.

This one hits closer to home than most. He went to the same High School as my son (a few years earlier) and they had the same track coach. This LEO was a great guy, former Navy man and would often come to the school to speak to the kids.

From what I understand Officer Ponder was trying to get the occupants of the car local lodging when they fled. This shit is getting real old.

Sorry for the loss to the family of Officer Ponder, glad for the cause of good that they captured his killer.

That is correct. It started as a speeding violation. None of the three adults had valid OL's, so Cameron was waiting on a county deputy to show up and escort them to a hotel room. He could have just arrested two of the three adults, but he chose to help the guy out.

For me, one of the hardest parts of this story is they found out last week he was getting transferred home. In a couple months, he would have been back in his home county. For us, it's been more than a news story, he was friends with those in the community and even rented a house for a while from one of my staff members. Folks here have taken it pretty hard.

But one thing with the OP, don't diminish Trooper Ponder's sacrifice by trying to make this a race issue. You can call BLM a "street gang" but it only makes you look like an uninformed idiot. Likewise, Johnson-Shanks' fleeing, attempted apprehension and the murder of Trooper Ponder had nothing to do with race. If you would prefer to just come out with a more bigoted approach, go for it, but don't bring Trooper Ponder into it.

I agree, it's as wrong to paint everyone in that movement with the same brush as it is wrong to paint everyone in law enforcement with the same brush.  It'd be nice if both sides took that into consideration.
