Damn, you can’t swing a dead cat without hitting another example of how courageous Trump is. It really takes a set of big, brass balls for a draft dodger to intentionally lie and insult a veteran on Memorial Day by name.

Francis Scott Key must have had preternatural knowledge of Trump’s unprecedented, legendary courage when he wrote “the home of the brave.”

Literally, could mean anything.

HOMICIDAL Republican Congressman. He’s talking about Morning Joe the murderer.

They should call us the Hardy Boys for cracking that one.

I went to college 10 minutes from Ft McHenry. Wrote every paper that I could on it. I rewrote the volunteer handbook in my Local History class. Wrote about it during the Civil War for History of Baltimore. Its use as a prosthetics hospital for WWI class. Baltimore’s maritime defense during 1812 for Modern Warfare Class.

It’s personal when he bastardizes such an important spot.

My quick argument to that is that legit politicians aren't likely to run in a party the D and R powers have so successfully kept down.

The status quo puts so much effort into making sure anyone who wants a shot at winning has to paste a D or R on his/her resume that it's no wonder the more legit candidates either sell out their policies or give up.

But hey, we got populist nut Trump into a real political party people are allowed to see so I guess there is hope.

The ironic thing was the Dem candidates were down on Bloomburg because he was attempting to "buy" the nomination; when they fully understand that's what the parties do every cycle. If we ever got a moderate from each party to combine with folks with some real money we might get a viable 3rd party.

Hell, Romney and Bloomburg are both loaded and fit the bill. Just get Cuban, Gates, Buffet, and others to throw in with them. I'd vote for that ticket over these 2 clowns any day of the week.

1.  Election reform.  Under our current "Winner-Take-All" system with no campaign spending limits no third party will get a foothold.

2.  There has to be a third party that isn't just the extreme elements of the existing parties.  For example it seems that Libertarians believe in extreme amounts of government de-regulation, and Green Party believes in extreme levels of environmental regulation.  Neither of those are reasonable options for me.

I don't disagree with most of this, but if 3rd party candidates are such wacky nuts then D's and R's should gladly let them debate and their own insanity could be their undoing.  Rather, I can't help but feel like the Green party is going to make us all ride bicycles and Libertarians are going to privatize everything and dismantle the government the same way all Democrats are going to take our guns and give our money to illegals and terrorists...it's just an extreme view perpetuated by the suppression of a fair platform and access to information.

Or maybe they are nuts...but shouldn't we get MORE nuts options?  We're looking down the barrel of two in 2020.  Meh.

After her widow called out Trump for his lies about her death, Trump double downed and said that the family of Lori Klausutis wants to get to the bottom of her death...

Klausutis, who died after she fainted and fell due to an irregular heartbeat, has been at the center of Trump’s latest pathetic attempt to generate any news that isn’t on his failing presidency.

A reporter asked his newest press secretary about it and her response was as disgusting as you’d expect

Trump needs to keep his mind on the 2020 election and at least name Joe Biden as a conspirator.

Quote:“Don’t be afraid to be funny, because you are funny. You know, I ask you why you won Congress — you said you’d had sex with the intern and then you had to kill her," Imus told him in 2003, according to clips from the full interview, which was not available.

“Exactly,” Scarborough said back, laughing.

"I mean, that’s pretty risky to say," Imus replied.

"What are you gonna do," Scarborough said.

And Scarborough's wife is mad at Trump...

WTS, POTUS should honor the widower's wishes.

The words "Trump" "honor" and "should" just don't combine all that well.

WTS you're still finding a way to make Trump NOT the bad guy.

WTS it is my understanding that Donald Trump was accused of having sex with underage girls. Not my idea but I've seeN other people say it. Maybe the authorities should investigate this again?

Hell Trump even tried to back out of what he said by saying it wasn't a "Trump original thought" (aren't many of those anyway) but he was just bringing up what "they" said.

He's contantly a coward.

Should I change it to "Trump" "honor" and "does"?

BLUF: If the widower asks him to stop, he should. But Scarbourough's wife should be the last person to feign outrage over this. Her husband joked (hopefully) about the intern's death on National Media.

Now the simpleton will view that as a "Trump Defense", but Trump was not wrong to share it, but once the widower asked him to stop, he should and apologize to him.

You don't have to change anything other than your expectations...but you seem on the ball enough to know what's what.

I'll admit I'm not one who watches Trump 24/7 but I can't imagine that guy has ever apologized for anything.  Maybe like one of those "Sorry you got offended" apologies, if that counts.

RE: 2020 Presidential Election - BmorePat87 - 05-26-2020

Twitter fact checked one of Trump’s false tweets, which sent him and his campaign in a tizzy, claiming they’re being censored, the first amendment is being trampled, and Twitter is interfering in an election.

or a "I shouldn't have been so caviler"'

The few times he has apologized he doubles down on the subject of his apology. Dude's a narcissist; apology is not in his nature. Some applaud it, some condemn it.

That would probably explain why most presidents haven't relied so heavily on a privately-owned website to address the people.  Also, wasn't there some sort of issue with Trump using Twitter to address issues as the president, yet having the ability to block the citizens he supposedly serves from reading what he is posting?

It's almost like social media isn't fit for the highest office, or something.

Anyways, I'm off to check out some of Biden's dick pics on pornhub.

It is a historical first.

But Trump wasn't really "censored"; that would mean he was forbidden to lie on Twitter.

He was not. The Twitter folks just added a label suggesting readers check the facts on mail in ballots.

Sort of like the warning label on cigarette packages.

Yeah we had the same issue in Kentucky when the governor switched over to making public statements via Twitter and then blocking reporters, Dem elected officials and others from the Twitter account.

As a general statement, it seems like the guys who get upset the most at having their first amendment rights infringed (which it's debatable if social media is a right) are also the ones who abuse it.
