15 year old high school student bullied and spit on for wearing Trump hat. According to the article, one of the bullies is being charged with a felony. Kinda funny considering none of these kids are even old enough to vote.

Also kinda funny: an actual quote from the article "The Gateway Pundit is not naming the student, due to his age, but spoke to his mother Meshyalah McElhaney"

I suppose when we were all saying they were putting party over country we were right.

Oh, so we're back to blaming the whole group for the actions of a few again? I wish we would make up our mind.

Vast swathes of the GOP...is that better?

Or should I go with a few bad apples?  LMAO Look, I'm sorry that republicans are this way. So many of them publicly and vocally willing to commit fraud just to help Trump and their party. I wish they were better but it doesn't seem they are willing to be that way right now. All while bellowing that the Democrats are "cheating" to win.

It's sad.

Meanwhile more reps of the GOP don't even try and hide their desire to rig everything.

All I'm saying is be critical of the people who are doing these shitty things. I'm not calling all Bernie supporters attempted murderers because 1 of them went and shot at some GOP senators.

Yes, ANYONE who attempts to commit voter fraud - regardless of reason - deserves to be punished for their crime and should be subjected to public ridicule. But, just because they belong to either political party does not mean that the party as a whole is guilty of the crime.

Every Democrat I know has acknowledged what happened in the 9th District in North Carolina in 2018.

What Democrats have REALLY been saying is that voter fraud is not widespread with the use of mail in ballots or voter ID at the polls.

Basically people like me who know what was going on were not wrong.  So don't lump us into "we ALL".  None of us are surprised when we hear about a hanfful of ballots effected by some fraudulent behavior.  And we also know that both sides do ti.

But there is only one party claiming they will lose the election because of voter fraud.

Just a coincidence that this is the same party that benefits by suppressing the vote?  I don't think so.

When party leadership is making these allegations it is difficult to not blame the party. Of course, it's important that people recognize that the voters are not the party. The party is an organization that exists solely to win elections.

We all know that not every single person in either party 100% agrees with everything, but when the party leader/candidate for president makes a statement I don't think it is unfair to attribute it to the Republican party.

But since you are so upset about it please explain how YOU determine what the Republican Party has to say on any subject.

Who besides Trump is making the allegations though? I've tried a Google search and the first few pages come back only talking about Trump.

I mean I found this article about a Democrat INDICTED for committing voter fraud in my aforementioned search (it was the first non-Trump article)
https://www.politico.com/news/2020/07/23/former-congressman-indicted-voter-fraud-bribery-charges-379935

But you don't see me claiming ALL Democrats commit voter fraud. Or even pointing out that maybe voter fraud actually is real and widespread.

Trump claiming if he loses it's because of voter fraud deserves all the criticism, but to equate it to the entirety of the GOP in Washington is just as wrong as me taking that indictment and saying voter fraud is widespread or the fault of Democrats.

There have been some state GOP parties that are making these claims. Colorado, Montana, Minnesota, Florida, and a few others, I believe. They are even going to court with literally no evidence of fraud trying to stop mail-in voting and saying there is fraud occurring.

I wouldn't call those people GOP leaders, though.

In any event, instead of criticizing the entirety of the GOP for making these kinds of claims, why not make a push to make it harder, if not impossible, to commit voter fraud? I get voter fraud may not be a big deal, but imagine instead of just saying it's not a big deal, you can say, "It's impossible to commit voter fraud because of XYZ."

Just one of the many issues I have with American politics. People are so quick to cast judgements yet so resistant to changes.

Party officials in state parties and the RNC are the leaders of the party. Elected officials aren't the party leadership. This is one of my big issues with American politics. The parties are literally only there to win elections. The officials, once in office, are only loosely tied to the party and have no formal ties to it. They may caucus with others that were pushed forward by the same established organization, but they don't have to share platforms and really have no loyalty other than the parties hold the purse strings.

Because all of the plans floated to make it harder to commit voter fraud suppress legitimate voting also.

Multiple Republicans have admitted this.  The people who vote less when there are more hurdles placed on voting are generally to poor and disadvantaged.  And those people don't vote Republican.

If I though widespread voter fraud really effected the election then I would be in favor of more limitations on voting, but there is no evidence that it does.
