Ask a stupid question...

Top 5 ...more clarity please. Is that your opinion........or.......
Was he a top 5 DE in the AFC only....or did you mean the NFL
And how many years was a top 5 DE?
Dunlap racked up some really good accumalative numbers
In.his time in Cincy. He was rock solid. And one year he did
Actually achieve over 10 sacks......
But top 5....its debatable.

So at least in Seattle he won't have to deal with whiny fans trying to blame him for the teams problems.

No its not.. calm down lol they were getting blown out..

You have a very low bar for a "monster game".

I just continue to hope the Seahawks lose and that division goes to the Rams or the Cardinals and Carlos can pull his half ass effort plays there.

So far this season 3 TFL, 2 QB hits, and a sack in one game is as rare for a DE/OLB (8 times) as a QB (throwing for over 400 yards (8 times).  Yet many people here claimed Burrow's 408 yard game was "amazing".

3 TFL a game would give you 48 TFL, more than twice as much as the NFL lead of 20 TFL last year (25 in 2018).
2 QB hits a game would give you 32 QB hits, good for 5th most in 2019 (4th most in 2018).
1 sack a game would give you 16 sacks, good for 3rd most sacks last year (2nd most in 2018).

(Pro Football Reference numbers)

I'd probably not go as far as calling it a monster game myself, but it's harder to agree with you to call that a "very low" bar. It was a heck of a game.

He is one of the best overall Edge players in the league and is much more than a pass rusher. His run defense and his ability to pat down passes  at the line of scrimmage were game changing.

He is 6th overall in sacks by D lineman in past decade in the NFL.. that is impressive

Oh so he didn’t totally forget how to play football?

Burrow is a rookie with no offseason...Dunlap was suppose to be a vet leader. Instead he was a *****. Dunlap was an average to once in a while good DE.. Horrible comparison...

How deluded people are...

Dunlap made the PFF All Decade team, and is the modern era sack leader for the franchise. I realize it ended badly (doesn’t it always here?), but there’s no reason to rewrite history. He was a really good player for a long time for us.

RE: Carlos as a Bengal vs. Carlos as a Seahawk - Murdock2420 - 11-15-2020

He was certainly a non-factor in the Rams - Seahawks game today. Didn't show up in the stat sheet at all.

I think when Dunlap wants to be, he can be unstoppable, but when he isn't feeling it or isn't happy, it is a real drop off in his play. Not too mention, the guy has been in the league a long time, and age eventually catches up to everyone.

He got a QB Hit in that game.

Now here he is with a Sack, QB Hit, TFL in the first half.

2 sacks in 2.5 (half still to go) games with the Seahawks. Nobody besides Lawson (3.5) has more than 1 sack on the Bengals.

EDIT: Another QB Hit right after half.

Yup... when he wants to play hard the dude is a beast but when he turns it off it is ugly.

RE: Carlos as a Bengal vs. Carlos as a Seahawk - Truck_1_0_1_ - 11-20-2020

He's a 4-3 DE, period; he didn't fit the system we had and instead of playing to his strengths, they demoted him and tried to square-peg into round-hole him.

Now he's on a team that plays a 4-3 very similarly to our 4-3, so of course he's thriving.

Please fire Anarumo already. Thank you.

RE: Carlos as a Bengal vs. Carlos as a Seahawk - J24 - 11-20-2020

And a clinching game sealing Sack. Great job Lou

RE: Carlos as a Bengal vs. Carlos as a Seahawk - TheLeonardLeap - 11-20-2020

This is just looking worse and worse for Taylor/Anarumo.

Dunlap has been balling out for Seattle - Trademark - 11-20-2020

Looking more and more like it's a coaching problem here, dude just got a game winning sack tonight vid the Cardinals and has looked like his old self. One has to wonder if AJ Green goes to a different team if he would look like his old self too. Bengals really need to get a legitimate coach in here, should of promoted Zimmer to HC when they had the chance
