Obama and O'Reilly are at odds--Dem vs Republican talking points.

Tulsi didn't appear much at odds with Tucker, as both are Dem bashers.
I don't see much "bravery" there.

And some Fox shows I'd be leery about as well, as the goal of a Hannity or Carlson or
Ingraham would be to confirm bias and grievance. Would I be sandwiched between
another griever who asked questions faster than I could answer them?

Still, have to admit I might give it a shot, bring up Hannity's past comments and compare them
to the present. "Sean, why do you suppose Trump ignored your pleas to stop the riot?"

Ok smarty pants, how's dis ...

Obviously, I will get a biased remark back.  Whatever

A long winded and overly pedantic one as well.

For some reason I was just reminded of Ben Affleck playing Keith Olbermann on SNL.

Speaking of Keith Olbermann, is there a better example of a person literally being driven insane by politics?  I acknowledge that I am not as liberal as I used to be, or rather that what currently constitutes a liberal matches me less than it used to.  That said, I really used to enjoy his show and found him making solid points.  He now sounds less cogent, and more extreme than the damn Unibomber.  It's honestly sad, he's really gone off the deep end.

As a 40 year old who was raised on SportsCenter, I like to tell myself he’s just doing a bit.

48 here (damn, I'm getting old), and I share your past experience.  If not your capacity for self-delusion.   Wink

I mostly recall Olberman going ape about Bill O'Reilley, so that all smacks of 2008 or so in my mind. Guess I lost track of the guy.

Do yourself a huge favor and don't catch up, it's really not pretty and it's also really sad.

Well, I never had much of a love for the guy in the first place.  I seem to recall him looking down his nose at right-wing commentators and then trashing Hillary with all his might in order to promote Obama.  A wise move and all, but still.

Catching up on anything rarely pays off, anyways.  Everyone is getting crazier and less likable except me.

Like anyone, once they "became political" people he attacked or disagreed with turned on him.

Happens over and over.

Republicans are the "stay in your lane" crowd if some speaks out against them and all embracing if they side with them.

Democrats aren't much better.

Mellow You posted a video of a Fox audience at a town hall agreeing with Bernie's "far left" talking points

(though I didn't get the full response to his "climate change is real" point).

Why? You thought there'd be something there I disagree with?

It seems you inferencing that Fox News is 100% biased as I stated earlier that many Democrats go on Fox News including Bernie's Town Hall.

Bernie's far-left.

Now let me see a far-right conservative have a Town Hall on MSNBC.   Yawn

Fair to want a "far-right conservative" on an MSNBC run town hall.

Haven't they appeared in MSNBC hosted presidential debates?

"Bias" isn't a term I use frequently, and certainly not with undeterminable percentages.

I'm still trying to figure out what you are showing me.

We (I, at least) was disputing the notion that mere appearance on talk shows indicates
bias in favor of the politics of the network presenting the show. So obviously a video
of Obama pushing Dem talking points against O'Reilly doesn't make him a right winger.

You were writing as if people were calling Gabbard a DINO simply because she appeared
on a right wing talk show. They were not. Gabbard attacking the Jan 6 commission as
somehow irredeemably biased and just "after Trump" is the kind of thing that causes
people to call her a rightist. She sees the people holding the insurrectionists accountable
as the greater danger, not the insurrectionists.

"Out of 31 policies listed, it is more than fair to say that 16 of Gabbard's positions easily align with the Democratic establishment, while six would certainly align with the current Republican party, with an additional 11 not easily attributable to either party. Of the previously mentioned 16 positions, here are the most liberal:"

I think we have been over this point before--

She once supported Biden. Now she accuses him of "weaponizing" the DoJ in an illegal raid on Mar a Lago.

So Gabbard's positions are shifting now. She likes applause from "lock her up!" MAGA crowds.
Let's wait and see how many these "16 positions" remain unaltered.

Also, "positions" are not equally weighted. Hardly matters if she wants to legalize pot, but gives full-throated
support to a Right wing now working to delegitimize all attempts to hold Trump accountable for lawless behavior.

Are you trying to argue Gabbard is some kind of neutral "independent" now?

Tulsi and Hillary are not friends. What Hillary did was take information before a debate from Donna Brazile about Bernie Sanders.
Tulsi being the Executive ViceChairperson told the Chairperson this was not right, but was rejected and simply resigned.
Hillary never forgave Tulsi and to that matter Bernie so she declared war on Tulsi.

Please share links where she liked applause from "lock her up!" MAGA crowds.

I once supported Biden in his earlier presidential runs and I do think the DOJ has been weaponized not necessarily on the illegal raid on Trump's house, but on going after and arresting Pro-Life people who pray in front of abortion clinics and NOT going after anyone who has torched and damaged Church's and facilities that counsel women to keep their unborn child alive.

The so called Pro-life guy who was “gone-after” not because he prayed in front of a clinic. He was arrested because he beat an elderly man who was escorting a woman into the clinic. He refused the option of turning himself in so they issued a warrant. You have no idea what anyone is doing in conjunction with the various acts of vandalism. Unfortunately it is a reality that it is virtually impossible to charge these types of crimes absent video evidence.
