He did an amazing job considering that Parker only played a few games.

I don't follow the Bucks too closely, but what other players did they add last year that would have helped them more than double their win total?

Michael Carter Williams, the Greek Freak, and Kris Middleton.

Middleton and Antkokpolomalu were both there in 13-14 when they won fewer than 20 games, and Carter-Williams only arrived about halfway through last season.

I chalk their turnaround up to Jason Kidd.  Their biggest addition (Parker) didn't play.  They did have Brandon Knight for half the season, but I think he left in the trade for MCW.

Aldridge signed with the Spurs...

Cavs vs Spurs in the Finals 2016.

They basically traded Aldridge for splitter. That team Will be unstoppable.

Cavs apparently interested in Joe Johnson.

If this is true, then I'm all for it.  JR opted out, and Johnson is a definite upgrade.  He (Johnson) isn't as prone to ill advised shots, and is just way more consistent than any other SG on the Cavs roster.  I know LeBron really wanted Ray Allen last year. Hopefully he can get a legit shooter to sign this year.

I would still like JR as well but Joe would be an improvement over him. You can't have too many 6-6 guard guys on your team.

Oh...

They are looking into trading for Joe Johnson.  I assumed he was a free agent.  Sounds like it will cost them Varejao and Haywood.  I hear the Cavs are trying to recruit David West as well.

Reports are that David West too k less money than the Cavs were offering in order to play for the Spurs.

Cavs signed Moe Williams!

MUCH better pick up than Joe Johnson would have been.

They had to have someone who can play the point.  Irving won't be able to play a whole season and postseason.  He has had injury problems every year ever since college.  He is an elite talent, but he just won't hold up for a full season.

I think both would be good pickups. This won't take them out of the Joe Johnson hunt if there interested in him.  Mo gives them a good backup option at point for sure though.

So apparently Alvin Gentry wants Anthony Davis to shoot more threes. I don't know about that I would rather him learn a post up game and would rather him attack the basket.

RE: NBA 2015 offseason thread - J24 - 07-08-2015

So Deandre Jordan looks like he might sign back with the Clippers after agreeing to a deal with the Mavs. If the Mavs loose Deandre Jordan they might be willing to dump salary to prepare for 2016 FA.

When I heard that, I thought it was one of the most random things that I've ever heard.  I bet he'd like him to get more triple doubles too.

Both the Mavs and Clippers are offering him too much money...  He's overrated in my opinion, and he's as good as he's going to get.
