Johnson........................73.9................N/A
Atkins...........................72.6................65.9
Gilberry.........................58.8................73.5

These are only snaps on defense and do not include special teams.

**EDIT** for got to include Chris carter's 14.1% of the defensive snaps.  I guess some have been at LB, but I mostly notice him at rush end.

Gilberry and Peko seem to be doing better with less snaps...

Whole DL has been playing fresh the whole game it seems.

I'd say one of the big differences is less Gilberry. He can get winded, but he looks good when he is fresh. Last year he slowed down a bit at times.

Good to see the drop off in Hunt snaps lol.

As long as the "Big 3" Keep getting 70%+ snaps, I love our rotation.

I was surprised to see how many snaps Clarke has played on defense. 16% is not a lot, but it is more than i thought he was getting.

I was also surprised to see the drop off in the number of snaps Hunt has gotten this year. He played a little more than i thought last year.

Clarke, when I do see him, has played decently. Sure, he gave up the HUGE run against the rams... but the others times he has caught my eye has had made a good push against the pocket and is where he needs to be on run plays. He may turn out to be a decent player for us. We'll see.

But ya I was also surprised at the number you posted. more than expected.

Geno is good.
When he plays more/better, everyone else does too.

Hunt looked more active then Clarke has looked in his limited playing time yesterday. May be time for Clarke to be inactive for awhile.

Why is Hunt still on this team? I keep wondering.

Pretty simple.

He is better than the other options available.

Yes, the other options are not that great.  That is why none of them are on an NFL roster.

We don't use a 9th DL much, so other positions could be considered.

Hunt played almost 200 snaps on defense last year.  The coaches have a good idea what he can do.  If he was not worthy of a roster spot then I am sure they would have signed someone else instead.

Remember that Michael Johnson was injured in the preseason.  That may be the only reason we kept Hunt as a 9th D-lineman.

Hunt may be the only player with a post season sack. Maybe. I haven't looked. If not the only, got to be one of 2 maybe. Right? Did we lay a finger on any of Houston's qb's? Rivers? Hunt got to Luck I do remember that.

Forgot to add Chris Carter with 14.1% of the snaps.

I am sure he has lined up some at LB, but most of the time I remember seeing him in the game it is as a rush end.

Johnson isn't popping off on the stat sheet, but he is so so so solid. An anchor in the run game.

Atkins had one in 11.

Jessie Bates left the Bengals and that makes me sad!

Johnson and Atkins being back to himself are the main reasons for the d lines resurgence.

He is who he is. This is who he has always been.
No one should be shocked by this
