***Official 2017 NFL Draft Day Thread***

Running untouched isn't the issue. Can he handle a DB twisting that leg?

That's true with every WR in the NFL.

So do we say now that all the people who wanted Howard at 9 were in favor of a big reach?

Fueled by satanism, violence, and sodomy, dinosaurs had little chance to survive as a species.

Bucs just gave Winston another option aside from Evans.

That's gonna be fun for Bucs fans
I'm still down with mixon in 2nd

Lap also said that is why many of the DE i.e.; Barnett and others looked good because OL play was so poor at the College level.

Me too. But heck, at this rate we might be able to get Foster at 41.
Would the Browns want AJM for the #25 pick???

I also find it odd that so many lamented the loss of MLJ and acted unenthused about LaFell/Boyd, yet are now ticked that we took a top WR.

No matter where you stand on the pick...This is not debatable: Offense was the problem last year. Aside from blocking, the 2nd biggest problem has been lack of playmakers outside of AJ Green and lack of speed anywhere else. Ross addresses those issues big time.

That's part of my issue.

I was ok with LaFell. Good Addition. I was ok with Boyd. I would've liked a few other guys, but Boyd fit a need.

Which is why I'm baffled on Ross.

Are we just writing off Boyd? You know Green & LaFell are starters. We rarely don't play a top 10 player, so unless Ross is as injured as he appears to be, hell start.

Soooo... we just shuffle Boyd down to nowhere? Core, who seemed to be decent?

This pick leaves me wondering if the team knows WTF they're doing. You've got to go all the way back to Green to really find a firtst round pick that's lived up to the position. I'm not seeing where Ross is any different than the last five years of clueless drafting.

I am warming to Ross more and more after seeing guys who we thought were better being passed on by everyone. You know, the amount of mock drafts and pre draft garbage info often jades our knowledge. We only know what the talking heads tell us. The real talent evaluators in the NFL are seeming to validate us taking Ross over those other guys.

My two cents.

I'm fine with Mixon in the second and a pass rusher in the third.  If we choose to go end in the second, then Mixon is the only RB I would take in the third, otherwise I would try for Raekwon McMillan or Pat Elflein.

If they did, who would you take?

I wouldnt raise too much hell about it now, but pass rusher in second, Kamura, in third wouldnt break my heart.

Everyone talks about all the weapons GB used to have when they won their last super bowl. We can be that. I prefered a Wr after a tradeback but if you were okay with one at 15 you really should be okay with one at 9.
Bolles to Denver. Overrated weak lineman.

If it came down between Foster, Mixon (who I would not pick but understand the talent is there), or Lamp, that would be tough to past on Foster at that point unless scouts see headcase similar to Jones, Burfict.
