Coronavirus
This is the absolute worst type of moron to have leading our country right now. I don't know if he is a traitor or moron. Either way his way kills the most Americans and he makes the most money.

He does not give a shit about a single American life being lost from this pandemic. The man was doing one of his "shitshow clown time" speeches a couple days ago and was complaining about nobody thanked him for how much money he is losing being president...

As many of us knew long before Trump even ran for office Trump is no leader.  He's a boss.

He is running everything like one of his board meetings:  He tells people what to do and then goes golfing.  If it succeeds he takes credit and if it fails he knew absolutely nothing about it.

The man has very rarely ever had to face up to his failures.  Daddy's money and lawyers (that became his money and lawyers) protect him.

So now when he actually is being asked to do his job as POTUS he's at a loss and just does what he always does...tells other people to handle it and says what a wonderful job HE is doing.

And he can't go golfing, and he can't have his adoring rallies.  So he acts out like a spoiled child on twitter.  He goes on FOX and takes questions for OANN "reporters" that make him feel like he's still the good kid that daddy will love someday.

He's amazing simple to break down and analyze.

That so many fall for his fake tough guy routine is still pretty funny.

There is a meme out there about Trump being a poor man's idea of a rich man and dumb man's idea of a smart man.  That's true.

Trump isn't even a good "New Yorker".  Cuomo puts him to shame whether I agree with him or not.

Trump is, like so many of his building, just a name on a cheaply made structure.  Living off the "brand" and hiding the rat infested inside.

I wonder if all those old folks who only watch FOX are fully understanding what Tucker has had on his program multiple nights this week?

If you have never listened to Max Brooks or read any of his work you should.

But alo listen to this.

Quote:'All Of This Panic Could Have Been Prevented': Author Max Brooks On COVID-19

Apocalyptic novelist Max Brooks is something of an expert on planning for pandemics and other disasters. The author, whose books include World War Z, Germ Warfare and the forthcoming Devolution, has toured the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and has reviewed government response plans related to various emergency situations — all in the course of research.

"We have a network in place that we as taxpayers have been funding to get us ready for something just like this," Brooks says of the U.S. response to the COVID-19 pandemic. But, he adds, "we have been disastrously slow and disorganized from Day 1."

Brooks says the notion that the U.S. government was blindsided by the pandemic is "an onion of layered lies."

"What could have happened when this virus exploded — even when Wuhan was locked down — is we could have put the word out," he says. "The government could have put the word out to ramp up emergency supplies to get them ready and then have an information strategy in place."

Instead, Brooks says, President Trump was slow to acknowledge the virus as a real threat. And thus far, the president has resisted using the Defense Production Act to force private companies to manufacture masks, gloves and other essential supplies in the fight against the coronavirus. Many government task forces that plan for disasters have yet to be activated in this crisis.

THE CORONAVIRUS CRISIS
White House Not Using Defense Powers To Boost Medical Supplies

"One of the biggest problems we're facing now is panic. You see it in the stock market. You see it in panic buying," he says. "All of this panic could have been prevented. ... If the president had been working since January to get the organs of government ready for this, we as citizens could have been calmed down knowing that the people that we trust to protect us are doing that."

Looks like the Senate has come to terms: https://apnews.com/edd230801c0e181169915e67b1fd64c6

Quote:WASHINGTON (AP) — The White House and Senate leaders of both parties announced agreement early Wednesday on an unprecedented $2 trillion emergency bill to rush sweeping aid to businesses, workers and a health care system slammed by the coronavirus pandemic.

The urgently needed measure is the largest economic rescue bill in history. It is intended as a weekslong or monthslong patch for an economy spiraling into recession — or worse — and a nation facing a potentially ghastly toll.

“To the American people, we say, big help, quick help is on the way,” Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y., said Wednesday morning on CNN.

Now we have to see if the rabble-rousers in the House will get it through.

Yeah, but apparently 60% approval for initially ignoring the problem thus making it worse than it could have been.

Schumer and McConnell signed off on it.  If anyone hinders it they are dicks.

Anybody know what this is about? A drafting error?

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/congress/handful-gop-senators-threaten-delay-senate-coronavirus-bill-over-drafting-n1168766

Quote:A handful of Republican senators on Wednesday threatened to delay the $2 trillion coronavirus spending bill over what they referred to as a "drafting error."

The Senate was expected to vote on the bill, which came after days of negotiations between Senate leaders and the White House, later Wednesday.

In a statement, Sens. Tim Scott, R-S.C., Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., and Ben Sasse, R-Neb., said: "A massive drafting error in the current version of the coronavirus relief legislation could have devastating consequences: Unless this bill is fixed, there is a strong incentive for employees to be laid off instead of going to work."

Wow ...

Sounds that the pro life stance ends at birth.

And again I say unto you, It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Just to follow up: Our daughter's test came back negative.  She is on a steroid and breathing treatment but does not have the virus and we are all very relieved.

G7 leaders haven't agreed upon a joint statement on Covid-19 because Pompeo is insisting that everyone refers to it as the Wuhan Virus...

It is definitely the fault of the Chinese. From day one the State Department has sought to work with the authorities in Wuhan, says Pompeo:

“We’ve wanted to work with the Chinese Communist Party throughout this crisis — this crisis that began in Wuhan, China,” Pompeo said. “We tried, you’ll remember, from the opening days to get our scientists, our experts on the ground there so that we could begin to assist in the global response to what began there in China, but we weren’t able to do that. The Chinese Communist Party wouldn’t permit that to happen."

Maybe some things left out there. If understand the situation correctly, Pompeo very politely asked the nasty, bat-eating, contagion-spreading CHICOMS to accept US aid in discovering how they started this Wuhan world plague through their negligence--and they have simply refused to cooperate.

That is how Communism works, and no amount of "containment" can change the facts.

We need to spread the word about the Communist culpability here, and stop wasting all this bandwidth on COVID information and the like.

They are saying that the way the bill is written, low income individuals on unemployment could end up earning more than they made at the job they were laid off from because of the additional $600. It's a valid concern that should get fixed, and could be done quite easily.
